Good location Staff are very helpful. We had a trouble in getting a transfer to airport. No grab was available. They helped us with their member taking us to the airport. Great help. Spacious room and natural garden.

Beautiful resort and great value for money. Large, comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Food is of good standard, and location is amazing, being in-between the RDC and Orangutan and Sunbear Sanctuaries (as long as you are happy being in the middle of nowhere). Good wifi connection and signal, and amazing staff members

This was probably one of the most comfortable stay that I had. The location was dreamiest and peaceful. The staffs were literally the most nicest persons, always available and kind. The room was perfect, it did not lack anything at all. And the food was amazing. We were so lucky to start our holidays with this resort.

Very friendly staff, very near the monkey and sunbear sightseeing (which is of course the reason of everyone's stay). The hotel has a very matching atmosphere and the restaurant serves good food and good enough breakfast. Value-wise it is a very good. I had the shortest checkin of my holiday there. The room was clean and the water stays warm for a long time. The path to the rooms is within jungle, which is cool

It is well worth staying at least two nights at Sepilok, so...

It is well worth staying at least two nights at Sepilok, so that one can attend both feeding sessions at the orang utan centre, visit the sunbear rehabilitation centre AND spend time at the wonderful Rainforest Discovery Centre. The latter deserves a few hours, preferably in the afternoon and leading up to dusk, as one can see so much wildlife,. The canopy walkway is amazing.

Most people go there to visit the orangutans sanctuary. It is excellent . Obviously they cannot guarantee animals will come to feeding platform, but when they do, you could spend a long time simply watching them.

Sepilok was excellent and safe.

Sepilok was excellent and safe. Small view of local life and excellent option to walk to each destination there from the resort we picked. Great way to recover from jet lag and we the jungle before we went out on the Kinabatangan river. Ate at the resorts and the orangutan center was fun outside of just the feeding as the apes stuck around on the railings!! Then the jungle night was was very fun with excellent guides who were very passionate finding us several of the nocturnal monkeys.

Only a 20 minute ride from Sandakan Airport so it’s...

Only a 20 minute ride from Sandakan Airport so it’s worthwhile checking out for the day. There is only about 1 whole days worth of activities in the area I.e. the Orangutan Center, the Sun Bear center and then the rainforest discovery Center. I probably wouldn’t recommend more than 1 day in this area unless you want to do some of the extensive forest and mangrove walls that are at the rainforest discovery Center - but they’re more for the dry season rather than the rainy season. I strongly do NOT recommend the probiscus sanctuary back in Sandakan as it’s more of a single species zoo only - it’s much better to get out to the nearby Kandabangan River Area

The only reason to stay a night is to ensure you get to the...

The only reason to stay a night is to ensure you get to the Orang Utan reserve just after 9am (let the initial queue go down) to watch the 10am feeding. Otherwise, stay elsewhere and drive to the reserve/get a Grab/bus it, and watch the 3pm feed, and then go back to your hotel.

I enjoyed Sepilok very much!

I enjoyed Sepilok very much! I was amazed by the facilities at the RDC, the orangutan, and the sun bear reserve. It is friendly for both children and the elderly. The staff are very friendly. My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves, especially during the night safari. Our rangers did their best to help us spot the animals. I will definitely recommend that my friends visit Sepilok—what a gem in Malaysia!

Good location in terms of things do to around sepilok (500m from sanctuary). Unfortunately, dorms are very small and beds were really hard and didn’t feel very clean. Breakfast buffet is good and the pool is quite nice, downside however is that for any other meal the only option to eat is at their cafe which is ridiculously overpriced! (If you’re on a budget, There’s a small stall outside the orangutan sanctuary I recommend grabbing any meals/ snacks from there, or eating at the sanctuary cafe during the day)

Beautiful surroundings very close to the rainforest discovery centre and a couple of restaurants nearby. The staff are lovely and do everything they can to help. We stayed in hornbill Lodge on the first floor which was a great location as near the reception but not too close. Our room came with everything we needed - even a hairdryer - and was very clean! I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sepilok.

Stayed in a deluxe room, which was great. Good size, very clean and Air conditioning excellent. Outdoor but private bathroom, very good shower. About 1.1km from Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation centre, easily walkable for us. We stayed Bed & Breakfast. Breakfast was simple but good. A la carte dinner menu also delicious and good value.

The place is a bit outside of Sepilok which makes it imho better, since Grab is so cheap and easy to get. The atmosphere is immaculate and I saw one of the best sunrises of my life. The dorm is very nicely organised and guarantees privacy. The staff is super welcoming and the food good
