absolutely wonderful, cosy and just so cute !! really nice & helpful hosts / staff and in a beautiful location another plus : two electric car charging spots outside excellent breakfast and dinner ! complementary coffee/ tea in room the restaurant has a play kitchen for little guests which was a big hit too

Yes, the rooms are large, clean, quiet, have excellent air conditioning, and superb showers. But what really sets the hotel apart is the service level provided by the outstanding staff. Every staff member we encountered was helpful, friendly, and kind. Oh yes….and the breakfast was terrific.

The area is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, and nature...

The area is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers. It borders Zwager Mieden, a beautiful nature reserve (also visited by Vroege Vogels). From Westergeest, you can enjoy beautiful cycling and hiking trails towards Lauwersmeer and Zwager Mieden.

Westergeest itself is a very small town without exciting...

Westergeest itself is a very small town without exciting attractions; it's pleasant and relaxed. Its location is excellent for getting to all the more beautiful places: Dokkum, Leeuwarden, Franeker, Schiermonnikoog, etc.

A very nice village with many friendly and helpful people.

A very nice village with many friendly and helpful people. Excellent, beautiful cycling and walking routes from the village. Tip: from Westergeest you can quickly reach Lauwersoog to take the ferry to Schiermonnikoog.
