The staff was friendly and very nice, we enjoyed the garden of the hotel with flowers and the pool area with the good service and the lovely restaurant. For the visit of Baktapur this is a perfect opportunity to see the historical place and to relax.

A Stunning Property in Bhaktapur! Hotel Yechu is truly one of the finest properties in Bhaktapur. While it is a little farther from Durbar Square, the breathtaking architecture makes it well worth the visit. Though we didn’t get the chance to stay this time, the ambiance and design left a lasting impression. I will definitely choose to stay here on my next visit. The hotel architecture is superb. It's like going back in the centuries but with all the comfort of the modern accommodation. The room is a bit small but very cozy, the bathroom is spacious with a superb shower tub. All the structure is very clean, and the location is fantastic. Durbar Square is mind blowing.

Durbar Square is mind blowing. Good to visit after dark too for different atmosphere. I visited a few of the Pokhari around the old city. The river Hanumante was truly shocking with amount of rubbish and putridity. So close to UNESCO which was surprising.

It's been ages since I was in Kathmandu and I hear it's...

It's been ages since I was in Kathmandu and I hear it's gotten busier. Bhaktapur is a laid back option--lots of history and lots of local life at the same time. It's a walking town for travellers and you learn how to instinctively avoid the scooters. Pretty much every building has a rooftop Cafe of some sort and the views are spectacular. There's a little hustle from guides for hire in Durbar Square but they're pretty knowledgeable and the hustle is very gentle. If you're not interested, you can politely refuse and that will be the end of it. Given a choice, I'd pick Bhaktapur over Kathmandu as a place to hang out.

Bhaktapur, a great place to look at the culture in your own time , and enjoy without the hussle and bustle of a busy city, great to explore and watch people and especially the locals going about there traditions. Don’t be afraid to walk up allley ways, you may find a surprise, an open space with a religious monument, or children playing , maybe ladies drying rice, at certain time of the year. All in all a great place to study the people and there culture. And don’t forget to Try the King Kurd.

I have been traveling a lot in my life, but I never saw such a beautiful city. Eventhough, the dramatical earthquake , all the buildings and temples have been fixed with the old materiel. Walking by night in Bhaktapur in those small street is like to be in the middle age. Bhaktapur is a travel through the time.

Very good location in Bhaktapur right next to the pottery square in the old town center (NPR 1‘800 per person for the entrance, valid for 7 days). Luggage storage for free available when you want to do some trekking around Namo Buddha. Friendly and helpful owner that also have a souvenir shop right next to the hotel. They help you with the local busses etc. Card payment accepted without any commission. Breakfast (pancake, yoghurt, banana and tea) available for 350 NPR per person, but you can also take in the in the cafe at the potters square

I really like the breakfast here. I really don't eat breakfast in the hotel but here I eat. The rooms are very clean. The staff are very nice, kind and superb friendly. As an alone girl traveller, I feel very safe here . This location is the best as it excesses all parts of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. If I came back to bhaktapur, I am going to stay here again. I will suggest if you come to bhaktapur, stay here.
