SpainIt was very clean. The size of the room was great( we were 4 ). The bathroom was very clean too. The kitchen had everything necesario for cooking( oven, casserole, pan, dishes, toast machine..etc) there was also a laundry machine. Highly recommended. Good relation price- quality. It was even better I hoped)

We didn’t go into the town of Haast, but were just outside, on the road to Jackson Bay. After the crowds and bustle of other towns, Haast Beach was a welcome change. Not many tourists stop here. The Visitors Centre is amazing with a brilliant interpretative display. The drive to Jackson Bay is well worth making the time for to explore the wild Southland areas. Highly recommend the Heartland Hotel for dinner.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Some really good coastal walks set up by DOC.
Some really good coastal walks set up by DOC. Some great board walks and coastal walks of various lengths. Peaceful area with most tourists not taking advantage of the walks and stopping in car parks for a quick look only. Warning: don't go off road near beachs. Everything was spotless and meticulously organised. Beds were super comfortable and smelled fresh. Although the motel has no direct view of the sea due to a higher dune, the short 100m walk to the wild Haast beach opposite the road provides the perfect setting for a cuppa or glass of wine to watch the sunset. It has a big living area and kitchen with the biggest bathroom I saw on our trip, equipped with washing machine and dryer. I wish we'd stayed there for more than a night.
