I recently had the pleasure of staying at Magnolia Cottage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The breakfast each morning was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It was the perfect way to start each day! Ann, the host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She was incredibly accommodating and always available to assist with anything we needed. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Magnolia Cottage for anyone looking for a private relaxing and welcoming getaway! Will definitely be my go-to when I'm in the area!

i like the concept. it’s comfortable i stay one bedroom apartment, it’s nice. other type of room with shared bathroom was good too, have a few bathroom outside, it’s clean, and it have a shared kitchen and dining room downstair.

The history of the building is epic. We had the Queens room, where actually the Queen stayed. Unbelievable. It's really nice stuff in the bar as well. It was quiet and the beds were very compfie. We definitely recommend a stay here and coming back.

This is a stunningly located property in beautiful surroundings, with a beautiful garden, and Mike and Julie are excellent, friendly hosts. Plenty of breakfast choice in the barn's kitchen. You can feed the alpacas when you've finished feeding yourself. This was the one place in New Zealand we thought worth visiting the country again for. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We really liked how clean and comfortable the rooms were. The motel was quiet and in a convenient spot, close to the town centre. The owners were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay really enjoyable.

Nice clean motel with a partial view towards the bay. Rooms were modern and the family 2 bed was quite big. Staff were friendly. There was a car charging port available at no charge, which was really appreciated.
