Very nice place to stay! Owners contacted me right after my booking. Met me in the middle of the night. The house is very neat and cozy. There is a kitchen where you can make some food, also there is free tea and coffee. Very quiet in the night. In the morning the hotel employee escorted me to the bus stop. After two weeks round trip in Panamá, I decided to stay at the Santa Maria, and spend the last day on Panamá in a beautiful hotel. The Santa Maria fulfilled totally my expectations and the ones of my family. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was wonderful and the food at Mestizo restaurant has a wonderful selection of Panamanian and international food. The personal is very polite and helpful. I dont understand many of the negative comments from others guests regarding the personal. They might be slow and not all of them can speak perfectly English but remember that you are in a Spanish speaking country and will be a good idea to learn Spanish too! I speak 4 languages and travels around the world and when I am in an new country, I try to speak the language… that is also part of traveling. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms is a dream. The hotel is located far from other attractions but you have close shopping malls, hospitals, cinemas, and sports centers. We will definitely come back and hope the standard and infrastructure of the hotel will be well maintained.
