Valentin and his family where extremely welcoming. We had the best night of our holidays in Perù, the bed was so confortable. The little village of Llachon which can be reached with a little walk, is very cute and away from any touristic agitation. The food they serve is amazing too! To be short, don’t hesitate and stay at la Casa de Valentin, it’s perfect 👍🏻

The best thing about our stay were the hosts, kind, friendly, willing to have long conversations with us despite our average levels of Spanish! They went irbid their way to make us feel really comfortable, the whole family were fantastic, they would make sure that we were heading in the right direction by sending a family member with us part of the way when we went to walk to the Pacha Mama and Pacha Tata. Mari Luz even walked us to the harbour on the day of our departure.

After almost two months of traveling in Peru, this may be our favorite place to have stayed. We booked the room with a view over the lake, and it was beautiful to wake up to. We enjoyed all of our meals and were taken great care of. The bed is super comfortable as well!

The property is very well kept and clean. It has amazing views of the Laguna and is sheltered from the wind. The rooms are cosy and there is plenty of space to relax. We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

We spent 2 nights at Hospedaje Mario in Taquile and it was an incredible and heart-warming experience! Mario and his wife Julia showed us around the island and taught us about the traditions, crafts and way of life of the people of Taquile. They were so welcoming, kind and helpful, and Julia cooked an amazingly delicious meal for us in the evenings! The room was simple but clean, with enough blankets to keep us warm on the cold nights. An unforgettable experience! We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay in Taquile and had the honour of experiencing life on this quiet and amazing island!
