We're very nicely welcomed by the Staff and we immediately got a bedroom, much before check-in time. We also received an upgrade, as we've been given a bigger room. The receptionist was a very pleasant and professional person and the other members of staff were very kind too. A nice place to stay for a couple of nights, before embarking or disembarking a Cruise ship, as it is not very far away from the port.

First of all i would like to highlight the GREAT host, he was extremely cultural, polite and helpfull with everything. He could the the role model for the other hosts. Thanks a lot for everything!!! What is more, the apartament was clean, equipped with everything we could need, quiet, the location was perfect - close to the center, local market and just beside a nice park, swimming pool and athletics track and Champion supermarket.

The apartment was new, very clean, spacious and very well decorated. The house was stylish with lovely furniture and a fully equipped modern kitchen. Great apartment, great location, was a blessing to have the carrefour supermarket so close by. We really enjoyed our stay here, loved swimming in the pool and the great views from the kitchen and balcony. Would definitely stay again. Host was lovely too, checking to see if we were ok.

About 90% of excursions were water related activities and if that’s not your passion it’ll take a bit of effort to find nature, culture options. What I didn’t like as a solo traveler is that Viator tours were mainly required a couple/2 person minimim booking. Thankfully booking.com excursions was a life saver. Most restaurants are closed between 2-5 pm so keep that in mind. I’m not a foodie so I didn’t explore the fine dining options. Papeete lacks a robust night life, it’s more a “get away from real life” and relax that caters to water sports types. I realized I’m a “city girl” type so after 3 days of chilling I was restless.

Papeete is a dump! We expected more from the French. Very 3rd world, unsafe water, no sidewalks, trash and graffiti abounds, bums begging, dirty drainage canals, and for this you are charged extremely high prices for everything! Bora bora wasn't much better... Moorea was nice. We took a cruise to the Marquesas and Tuamotus which were still unspoiled and gorgeous with genuine natives. The islands are stunning, but just go to Hawaii.

Papeete itself is very bland and the market is over-rated (in my opinion). I wished I had planned properly and spent few nights at Moorea, but I didn't know what to expect. Rookie mistake 🫣 Lessons learnt. Despite mixed advice from the locals, I felt safe walking at night, which is a positive outlook for the Island 🙏 As many reviewers have mentioned, Papeete is only a good stopover to the other islands 🏝 😀 The 2 highlights of my stay was the day trip to Moorea, doing the safari excursions and the cultural night at the InterContinental Hotel.

Over-all it was great.

Over-all it was great. We spent 7 days on Tahiti, plus a half-day excursion on Moorea. 5 days on Tahiti would probably be enough. Next time we will visit a couple of others islands for a few days. Good food and shopping in Papeete.

Spending a day or two there would have been enough, there was obvious poverty, with multiple homeless people. Not what I expected at all. I hired a car to visit the sites, but when I was driving around, everything looked closed, or uninviting. As a solo tourist, this wasn't the best place to visit. If I had known better, I would have book a night & visited the different islands.

The people are what make it so good.

The people are what make it so good. Very polite people who appear to be honest and kind. The shopping mall across the road from the Hilton was a wonderful place with a food hall and a good supermarket. We enjoyed a day trip to Moorea and a taxi trip around that island. Also the 5-hour Tahiti group trip and the boat trip. I did not do any snorkelling as I do not swim and I thought perhaps an activity in knee-high water could have been included in the boat trip. The Museum of the Islands was a good activity.

Convenient location : near supermarket, clinic, pharmacy, nice parc and 16min walk to Papeete Market Facilities: Elevator, Washing machine, digital door lock, Good balcony view, kettle, AC, clean room & toilet Host: excellent hospitality, SUPER COOL guy and very informative, the host knows many things, and takes his time to explain how to get the keys, etc. and he's one of the sweetest person we ever met!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it was just a day use between the boat and the plane. We wished we had stayed here on the inbound side as was way better than the other resort near the airport we choose. Amazing rooftop bar is not to be missed.
