We absolutely loved everything! Our family of five had a wonderful stay. The cabin is stunning and spacious (even more beautiful in person than in the photos) and equipped to the highest standard. Every small detail has been thoughtfully considered. The yard is child-friendly, and just steps away there's a horse farm and soccer/basketball court, which were delightful surprises for the kids

Family as an ovners of Matuska.There where so welcoming !!Also whole family have "sport roots"Józefina was joining Olimpic in Saporro 1972 her Husband Atlanta 96 and Sedney 2000.We been told alot of stories also they introduced and showed us whole big family.The book was written about them ,so many photos so many memories.I def comming back!!!Highly recomendingvthis place for everyone who wants to have lovely time off away of cities noise and silly comercial holidays.Its a big shame that places like Matuska its not many left.

Poronin is a nice little town, far from Zakopane’s crowds so perfect for those looking for a quiet place. Zakopane is only 10 to 15 minutes drive from Poronin so it’s easy to get there entertained if needed. However, having own car in Poronin is a must as public transport is not great.

Poronin as a town is used by most as a cheaper alternative...

Poronin as a town is used by most as a cheaper alternative to Zakopane. I am no exception. I like this town to spend the nights, since it's definitely quieter than Zakopane. And I do care for a good night sleep, where the only sounds from the outside are sheep bells and roosters. Still, it's close enough to allow getting onto trails of Tatra Mountains National Park or to one of spa or swimming locations in nearby towns. Although my transport of choice was the car, so I cannot speak for those who take the bus. Even with car, getting to Zakopane might be a hassle though, as "Zakopianka" often gets congested, so it's good to accomodate extra time to get to places. Especially if you aren't an early bird.

We chose Poronin as a point to Zakopane, since it is about...

We chose Poronin as a point to Zakopane, since it is about 15 minutes by car from the village, I cannot objectively evaluate Poronin itself in two days, if I can compare, Tatranska Bukovina, the village next door looks on a nice level with views of the Tatras, Poronin is more in the valley, we can see at most local forests.

The journey from Silesia is atrocious.

The journey from Silesia is atrocious. The A4 and all of Krakow are congested. Restaurants in Poronin serve delicious meals at reasonable prices. You can stroll along mountain trails, but also through the streets of Poronin. The extraordinary SkyWalk – the heart of Poronin – is highly recommended.

Poronin is a good base for hiking, beautifully situated,...

Poronin is a good base for hiking, beautifully situated, with beautiful views, including of the Tatra Mountains, which is a plus. It's close to Zakopane. Shops are always conveniently located nearby. There's a pierogi shop with delicious, richly stuffed pierogi with various fillings, whatever you like. The ladies make them on site and freeze them immediately. We really enjoyed them with bundz, but they're all delicious, and I highly recommend them.

The hosts live close to the apartment and are very welcoming. Every help, request and question they were there for me. Includes a recommendation for itineraries. In the yard there is a trampoline that the children really, really liked and also enjoyed their jacuzzi. The apartment is on the second floor and we received help in lifting the luggage. The rooms / living room and kitchen are on the same floor which is a bonus. The beds are very comfortable and it is easy to get from the area to Zakopane or for trips in the area

Not so far from the attractions in Zakopane, if you drive by car. There is enough parking space in the yard. There is also a terrace with a grill that is free to use. Inside the apartment is not so big, but there is enough space for a family of 3 and a small dog. The view from the room is nice. Kitchenware, kettle, refrigerator - all you need to eat at home.

Great location near Zakopane, the house is very pretty, and our room was clean. We had access to a well equipped kitchen at the end of the hallway, and we could use the summer kitchen outside the house for some grilling. We had a great time and the host is very nice.

The villa is near Zakopane, of you have a car and don't want to stay in the center is a perfect choice. Everything was clean and new, breakfast had many options. There are some restaurants at walking distance.
