We would recommend booking the superior rooms- just a little bit more expensive and for that you get absolutely beautiful and spacious accommodation in the heart of moura. The hotel occupies a grand old mansion full of beautiful features. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is plentiful and served in a lovely room overlooking a leafy square. It was our second time there, and we're hoping to return before too long. A real old style marvel of a place! And they also provided secure indoor storage for our bicycles.

Located right in the middle of the town and castle, very nice place, friendly staff, ample breakfast was included. Cute town that really came to life in the morning hours. Also this town is on one branch of the Camino trail.

Our stay at Amada Moura was amazing. Before arriving, we kept in touch with the host and they were very responsive. Our check in was also very easy and flexible. The room was great, very spacey, very well decorated, we loved some details of how they managed to merge modern decoration with some vintage/historic elements (e.g., the wardrobe, the light switches, etc.). It felt like travelling a bit back in time but at the same time having the comfort of modern times. The bathroom was also beautiful. Everyone was very nice and available. The breakfast was great, with plenty to choose from, very healthy and tasty. The courtyard is such a calm place to relax, with the pool and the lemon tree... it just begs to slow down and enjoy the moment without rushing.

It was super nice and cozy. The accomodation was clean and the hosts were very kind. We even got a bottle of wine and water as a present. It is located near to the sandy and beautiful Alqueiva lake. The rooms are large enough and comfortable.

What a wonderful conclusion for a long motorbike tour in Morocco. Both Paul and Toni were great hosts helping and advising us during our brief stay. Paul is a real motorbike freak with a great collection of bikes. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night but it is a home we shall visit again. Their place is a must for anybody travelling with motorbikes.

Passagem do Sol is a very welcoming place to stay . Lovely town, we walked a lot, nice parks, friendly people, nice places to eat especially O barranquenho. Ideal town for exploring and for a trip to Alqueva dam.

A small, very typical and welcoming town in the Alentejo...

A small, very typical and welcoming town in the Alentejo region! The only thing I didn't like was the restaurant next to the barracks because the approach wasn't very friendly – "We don't have a table, only with a reservation!" And that was it!!! It was actually a good thing, because we had dinner at Restaurante Ideal – excellent!!

A very peaceful city, ideal for those who truly want to relax. It has a castle of considerable size and historical and architectural importance. It has streets where it's a pleasure to stroll, a garden where you'll want to spend hours. Last but not least, fabulous gastronomy.

Moura is a welcoming city, ideal for those seeking a blend of tradition and modernity. In Moura, everyone lives at their own pace, from the tranquility of the Alentejo region to the liveliest restaurants. Being a city near the border, Moura is a place where life is lived with joy and diversity is embraced. In June and July, the city is festivities and there is a huge cultural offering.

We discovered a thoroughly enjoyable medieval town.

We discovered a thoroughly enjoyable medieval town. It was very quiet in the evenings, and we had some difficulty finding an open restaurant. We naturally visited the castle and strolled through the streets of the old town. Just a side note: the plants along the Ruas Floridas could use a little watering.

Moura is a very pretty and pleasant town. The people are very friendly and give you information with great kindness and goodwill. The food is excellent, the cheeses, the local ham, everything is delicious.

Beautiful old building close to the centre of town. The old features had been retained and incorporated into the hotel which made it very characterful. Huge rooms that were very comfortable.
