The bedroom was spacious, clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable (especially the pillows) and the fans worked well to keep the room cool. Claudia was absolutely wonderful! Her breakfast was simple but delicious and well presented- exactly what we needed before hiking. We also really enjoyed the terrace as a place to relax in the late afternoon.

The place is on a wilderness which is great. Close to the nature and also close to little village with some cafe places. Wi-fi works great. Great, helpful owner. In some comments there was an info about the short bed - the bed is completely normal, suitable for a 1,9m person ;)

The hospitality of Fina, Victor and their dochers, they are truly amazing! The location and tranquility. Good breakfast with own products like: wild honing, eggs, chees, fruit. We had couple of time delicious meals (authentic flavours) and very nice vno Verde for a very fair price From there we visited gorgeous beaches and towns, like Porto Covo, Vila Nova Milfones, etc. We will definitely come back!

I absolutely loved my stay here. Gisella was so friendly and welcoming, our room was lovely and very cozy. My dog had the best time as she was able to be off leash. It was 1000% the relaxing break we needed and I have already recommended the place to my friends. I absolutely plan to stay here again in the future 💖

I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly...

I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly or disabled but I do believe booking.com should clearly indicate when a facility is NOT suitable for us. The photos and description of Casa da Umbria were accurate but didn’t tell the whole truth. I can normally make it up the 13-15 stairs to reach a first floor walk-up especially if there’s a good handrail. I didn’t expect to have to climb steep cobblestone walkways followed by 34 steps without a handrail ending in a death-defying 90 degree spiral-type turn to get to the front door. Then there were all the other defects noted in my review. The hostess prepared a wonderful breakfast and helped us schedule a taxi and bus to our next destination but she became very defensive when I mentioned the stairs so I shut up and didn’t even try to suggest anything else. I can’t say anything for or against Odemira in general because I was essentially trapped in our room until we left.

This estate is perfect for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city; it's very calm, and it's especially lively at night. A good breakfast is included in the stay, the city is very close, the beach isn't far either, and you can eat good fish and seafood.

A charming, pretty town.

A charming, pretty town. There's a lovely gift shop with a donkey statue. And Fonte Ferrea restaurant is highly recommended, also for vegetarian dishes! Friendly people, too. There's a bus station for Rede Expressos and Rodoviaria Alentejo buses.

Residencial Rita is the perfect spot for overnight hikers. We hiked from Sao Teotonio to Odemira. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town close to many bars and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely hot water shower. The breakfast was delicious (early hikers, note it starts at 8am) and the owner was very helpful and friendly and arranged transport for us the next day. The town itself is very picturesque, along the banks of a river.

The breakfast is outstanding, really enjoyed it. My favourite moments of my short stay were waking up the one of the horses rolling around on his back on the grass in front of my room, and one of the hotel cats walking onto my lap top when I was working and sitting down on the key board. Just brilliant.

Nice historical B&B. Great location in the heart of the pretty town Odemira and close to the Rota Vincentina trail. Nicely decorated and spacious room. Breakfast included.
