Sabugueiro is a small village in Serra da Estrela, being travelling with kids with just snow in their minds, I did no had the chance to seesight in Sabugueiro, but I know it has a river beach, and alot of nature.

Charming little village.

Charming little village. The villagers were very kind, especially Dolores, the owner of the small market. Our host at Casa na Serra 2 was very welcoming and her accommodation was fantastic. We had access to hiking trails starting from the village.

This city is pleasant and has many amenities. It could undoubtedly be used as a base for exploring the Serra da Estrela mountain range. We would very much like to come in winter to discover other parts of the city.

The hotel is in perfect condition, it’s fairly new and everything is high quality. The host, Joana, made the experience even better. She always went the extra mile to make sure that we are comfortable. Even better, she helped me buy and prepare things for my friend’s birthday I also liked that there is a kitchen so you can easily cook your meals as well and all the utilities are there.

Extremely clean and tidy! Nuno is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about Sabugueiro and the customs of the region, as well as generous with his time. Good beds, good blankets, a lot of it fair trade. Sambuc'asa is warm in every way, and we can't recommend it strongly enough.

We rented their little 1 bedroom house and had a fantastic time. The house is well located in the village, the village is very cute and people there are extremely nice. The staff of the hotel is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back and recommend!!!

It’s the third time we stayed at this hotel. It’s in a great location for anyone who wants to ski. It’s about a 15 min ride with the car to go to the ski area. It’s easy to park the car in front of behind the hotel. Late check in was possible. Dinner was good.
