Smack in the centre of the old town, you’ll find Pino Alpino. Super friendly and helpful staff serving, what could be, the best breakfast in Kranjska Gora. Al-a-carte choices of eggs, avocado toast, home made granola, fruit, barrister cappuccinos… it goes on, eat as much as you like (can). The rooms are basic and could do with a refresh but had everything you need, albeit no air-con, which was a shame.

The hotel’s location is very central, with plenty of dining options and lovely spots for a short walk nearby. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety and high-quality food. We also had the chance to use the sauna, which was a very pleasant experience. The instructions were simple, and we had it all to ourselves for a great price of 15 EUR per person for 3hrs. We would definitely return!

Wonderful place in December when we visited. Walking around Lake Jasna was enjoyable, especially with the fire near the restaurant and Christmas decorations, The town is beautiful and was very active on a Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed Pizza in the old part of town at a local restaurant.

Great place for a little escape to the mountains when I...

Great place for a little escape to the mountains when I travelled in late summer for trail running. The town is full of nice little restaurants, many of them offering superb Slovenian food. I recommend Pino Alpino for a drink and dinner at Restaurant Lipa. If you have a day to spare a trip to Lake Bled is also well worth of your time, either to go swimming or to take a trip around the lake by boat. I would recommend having a car as it can be tricky to get in and out of town without. Will come back in winter to check out the slopes!

Kranjska Gora is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts such as trail runners like us. We visited to run the UTMB Julian Alps in September so the atmosphere was buzzing. Weather was amazing, we definitely got lucky as a storm rolled in the day we left. A few nice restaurants, pubs and cafes, all of which really good value.

Scenery in and around Kranjska Gora is stunning. Clean, safe, good bus service to Ljubljana, and lots of cafes and restaurants. Lake Jasna is particularly beautiful. Plenty of places to hire bikes, with beautiful bike trails .

There are many options for small and medium-sized hikes in Kranjska Gora. Everywhere we met friendly people and the overall feeling of the city was good. We have been to several places in Slovenia and the country has never disappointed us. Slovenians are kind and helpful people.

In OUR experience, we found the Slovenian people not very friendly... There were definitely exceptions, in both ways, but we are used to saying "hi" to other passing hikers. And you could see by their reaction if they were also foreign or Slovenian: Slovanians either looked mad at us for talking to them, or straight ignored us. Might be the culture, might just be our unlucky experience... Big difference to the Austrians over the border just 20 mins away. Also, except in the real touristy places: No English whatsoever... In supermarkets, on the streets, ... I know that's an "us" problem, but doesn't make it very 'first-timers' friendly 😉 Finally, the real reason we went to Slovenia: What a BEAUTIFUL country!!! The mountain views, the clear water, the nature: we loved it all!

It was an exceptional stay wity our dog. Staff helped us carry our luggage, that alone is something that we don't see very often. The room and hotel was very clean with housekeeping cleaning the room every day with checking and changing the towels as needed. The location was on the top floor with a balcony and full view on the Vitranc ski slope at the mountain. Kranjska Gora is a 3 min drive away.

Apartments have a very nice view and are at the great place situated near slopes and near the local center. Very nice is also free wellness included in price (in nearby Ramada resort). Kranjska Gora is a beautiful place...great for families with kids. Apartments have all necessary furnishings for a pleasant stay.

The people running the hotel are friendly and helpful. The hotel has good access to the ski slope at Kranjska Gora, the boot room is one of the best I have been in. I had a good room that was like a small apartment with a balcony and I thought the place was good value for money.
