The Colosseum is definitely worth a visit! Especially at this time of year in October, there is no mass tourism and you can enjoy the unobtrusive friendliness of the locals.

The classical concerts are breathtaking, and the setting is truly magical. The amphitheater and the museum are both must-sees. It's best to book a guided tour, which you can do at the entrance. It's not expensive and definitely worth it.

The ruins of the amphitheater are impressive and definitely worth a visit. I loved going to the museum afterwards; the artwork is breathtaking. We didn't have time to visit the ruins of Thysbus, but I'm sure they're impressive.
