We always feel very comfortable at Kapok. The location is also great. It is a bit away from the hustle and bustle of down town. Staff are polite and you experience a feeling of being at home. Kudos to the management. Oh and the meals at the Tiki restaurant, the meals are delicious.

Looking for a home away from home? Tired of mass-market hotel chains? Want an authentic experience? Culture Crossroads Inn is the place for you! Colin and Donna and their team are gracious and heartwarming hosts who go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They provided me with regular updates on cultural events and gave me a great insight into their country. I booked for 2 weeks and extended for another 2 weeks. Breakfast was excellent, with fruit, vegetables and a daily choice of more continental or more Trinidadian flavours. Trust Donna's suggestions blindly, it doesn't get any better than this! The room was spacious, clean and fully equipped. A shopping mall is 3 minutes walk away. There is also a stop at the mall for inexpensive shared taxis into the central city. Everything else you could possibly ask for, from pubs to restaurants to supermarkets, is within walking distance. The hotel is located at an intersection, but traffic is slow, limited and you won't hear traffic noise.
