We had an amazing time at Sun Moon Lake Hotel, thanks to the excellent rooms with private partition option within the room for dining/work purposes. view from the balcony was awesome, you can access to lake walking trail from hotel. Room had hot-tubs with TV on the wall (haven't see it else where). They have good kids play area and game room. Hotel provided free bikes to go around the lake. Free shuttle buses to market/pier hourly.

Stayed 2 nights at Hotelday Sun Moon Lake. The hotel is strategically located next to Sun Moon Lake and it is opposite the Wenwu Temple. The round the island public bus stop is also in front of the hotel makes it a very convenient place to stay. The hotel design is a mixture of modern contemporary and Chinese influences. Very cozy and comfortable. They provide breakfast and "supper" for most of the rate plan, however the "supper" has a very limited variety and it is only open from 8.30pm onwards.  The room was cleverly designed, with the shower and WC separated and the vanity was located outside.  My room was located at level 2, though there was a balcony but there was no view, blocked by all the trees. If you prefer to have room with view over the lake, you have to book higher floor otherwise it is as good as not having a balcony. There is a roof top bar on level 7. The view was amazing, minimum spend per person is required. Generally, it was a pleasant stay.
