This is an AMAZING place to stay!! Location is great, surrounded by trees! The room had all the necessary equipment and facilities and it was super clean! Mr Baluo was a GREAT HOST, super friendly, positive and smilie, even offering to us welcome gifts! Breakfast was also complete and delicious! No doubt to recommend this awesome place! Excellent!! From the hotel lobby, to the rooms, to the buffet spread and the indoor playground for kids, everything was perfect. We took the Japanese style room & the view was perfect, overlooking Sun Moon Lake. Room was spacious, new and comfortable. Both dinner & breakfast buffet spread was perfect. Onsen was great too. Nothing to complain about.

Perfect location. 3 minutes of walk to the bus station to take the bus back to Taipei (or the arrival station of the bus from Alishan). The Sun Moon Lake is right outside the hotel's restaurant. Good selection of breakfast but mostly Chinese style. The room is quite small, but understandable. The staff can speak English.

The location is close to Suishe Visitor Center where the bus drops visitors off. It's about a 20 minute walk with luggage but we asked the hotel shuttle to pick us up and drop us off at the visitors center when we arrived and left. You can also schedule ahead of time if you want the shuttle to drop you off at Suishe at other times. There was a large buffet breakfast that was quite tasty. The room was also very clean and we liked the view. There were many bikes to use for free to bike along the bike path. This is not a criticism (and Sun Moon Lake is primarily a domestic tourist location) but a FYI - if you don't speak Chinese, communication with the hotel staff might be a bit challenging. Some staff had a little bit of English language skills but that was not necessarily consistent. That's ok though :) just be prepared with some sort of translator app which is definitely useful in Taiwan anyway.
