Fantastic!!! Piece of paradise exactly as you see in the presentation clips from Zanzibar. The resort has a very beautiful yard full of flowers and greenery. It has two swimming pools, the one at the beach offering a wonderful view of the ocean. The rooms are large, clean, equipped with everything you need for regular comfort. And if you need something extra, the staff, who are very caring, will help you without any problem. The beach is also wonderful, it has very fine sand and is quite wide. The sunbeds area at the beach is private and guarded by security. Last but not least, the food is absolutely delicious at reasonable prices. Regarding the price, the quality-price ratio is a very, very good one. Thank you Mambo Ocean Resort!!!

I would like to thank the whole team starting from their Manager Ahmed, Guest Relations - Mariam, Siara, Kids Club - Azmaara, Event Host - Khamis & Obama, Reef walk guide - Ishaka, Restaurant Manager - Mohammed Farag, House keeping staff and each staff at the hotel who ensured that our stay and experience with all the activities in the hotel is wonderful. It was a short stay for us, we stayed in their Superior Sea view room, but it was a memorable one thanks to the whole team who always greets you with a smile and are very attentive to hear out your requests/concerns and do their best to resolve them as quickly as possible. Would definitely recommend this Hotel/stay to everyone. The nearby beaches are scenic, but there are some important things to consider. The ocean is full of sea urchins, making swimming risky without proper footwear. During the day, low tide pulls the water far from the shore, so swimming may not always be possible. If you walk toward the reef, expect to be approached frequently by local beach vendors, which can feel intrusive — especially when you're clearly not carrying money. Local security presence is minimal, so don't expect much intervention in these situations. It's best to come prepared and manage your expectations if you're looking for a peaceful swim.

This part of Zanzibar offers a quieter, more serene setting compared to some of the more tourist-heavy areas. One of the things we appreciated most was that we weren’t constantly approached by local vendors, allowing us to fully relax and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

Authentic village. We didn't want to be in a resort. The villagers were so friendly and wanted nothing in return apart from a hello back. There is a little shop just outside the gate for water etc. We got fruit for smoothies from the fruit stall in the village, they also sold sprite etc, there was a mobile shop and two lovely seafood restaurants. Our favourite was Mzuri run by a really friendly guy Hassan, wonderful succulent seafood. We loved it. It was just what we were looking for - authentic and local. The road is not graded, but I walk with a stick and it was fine for me. A few stretches were unlit but we take head torches.

The food was OK, the room was massively spacious and i loved it ,staff were friendly despite communication breakdown in most instances due to language barriers. Mr Betrand was so sweet a staff he made our stay so memorable always caring and bringing out the best out of us. Remo the property manager was awesome 👌

excellent location right on the beach, communication was good and the staff very friendly and welcoming. i loved that they allowed an early check-in as well as a late checkout. Special mention goes to the Manager Mr Gupta for going above and beyond for my parents who were celebrating their golden anniversary. He organized for them a dinner at the beach, as well as hotel staff singing and dancing for them, then topped it up with decorations in the room and on the bed. i highly recommend this hotel

A wonderful location. The beach is gorgeous even at low tide, the rooms are spacious (I had the double standard just a few meters from the beach), cleaning is done daily and the hotel staff is very kind. The food is delicious and the prices are fair considering that we are talking about a tourist resort, cheap and good has never sounded good to me. The 3 swimming pools, one for children and the yard complete a fairytale landscape from which you will surely return with unforgettable memories.
