We were excited to travel to Williams.
We were excited to travel to Williams. The downtown loop includes Route 66 stuff and we loved all the history we saw. The town has done a good job of of keeping the legendary road alive. Restaurants were good although we were charged $4 for a glass of water. Didn't go back to that restaurant. Not many activities for older people. Went to Bearizona and it was $35 per person to drive their park. We saw few animals. Very big waste of our money. All in all we spent too many days in Williams. It is for young people who can take advantage of hikibg. We stopped at the Meteour Crater along I-40 after Williams, and it was fantastic. Even though is about 1 hour from the South Rim Entrance, you won't find the cheapest place closer to the park.
