Guest reviewA really enjoyable stay. It’s only a small place, but that made it very homely. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I had a great fish dish for dinner. The host , Val, is most welcoming and I had a great evening siting at the bar, although I wish my French was better. It’s located reasonably centrally, about 15min walk to the centre.

Guest reviewThe hotel is excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Exceptional facilities with well maintained gardens and pool area. Breakfast was really good too. There's plenty of bars and restaurants within walking diatance and a little supermarket just across the road. Note at the time of writing the lake had flooded so beach areas and most of the beach bars are closed but there is one still standing where you can enjoy the sunset. A special shout out to DESIRE on reception who went out of his way to help me, even after I had checked out of the hotel!

Guest reviewI had a great stay at Kangaroo Hotel. The bed was very comfortable with a big mosquito net, the WiFi was good, and buffet breakfast was nice and big, and I had lots of hot water for showers. Nicky at reception spoke very good English and was really helpful. The location is just a two minute walk from the main market, which is fun to visit. There are lots of taxis nearby to take you around Bujumbura. Highly recommend!
