Hotels in Brazil

Everything but especially the staffs care to make your staying memorable - they were amazingly generous with some friends of mine who went to the hotel to visit.

We went to Gramado to explore the local natural environment. For this we selected Micheline Hotel Tricot as a base. It is located right in the centre of the city. Our car could be parked in their own parking garage. The location of the hotel is very convenient for visiting restaurants in the city. We had chosen one of the two-bedroom apartments that the hotel owns, in order to have some place to stay quietly in our privacy when we wanted this. The apartment was very nice, clean and well equipped. The employees and the hotel owner were very friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was plenteous, with possibility for special requests. We liked the hotel very much!

Cris warmly welcomed us on a blustery cold evening. When she heard we wanted to go to Parque Nacional Iguazú the next day, she linked us with another guest to share the cab ride (400 BRL shared between 3). He picked us up at the accommodation at 7.30am the next morning, drove thru the express lane and we arrived at around 8am. Cris spoke excellent English. She and her husband were very friendly and helpful with loads of travel advice. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Good wifi. We had a nice spread of food for breakfast. Love the pan de queijo! Because we were further away from the city center, she also helped with getting food delivered for dinner, when we were too tired to go out.

Our stay was nothing short of perfect, and it all started with the incredible hosts. Welcoming, charming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we made the most of our time there—they set the bar incredibly high. Daniela, in particular, went above and beyond by meticulously walking us through all the must-visit spots and hidden gems. Her recommendations truly enriched our experience. After we had spent a delightful evening exploring the town center, we returned to the warmest welcome. Daniela invited us into their kitchen and offered us some wonderful tea and delicious homemade cakes that were simply unforgettable. This thoughtful gesture made us feel like cherished guests rather than just visitors. The accommodations were outstanding. The room and bathroom were spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, ensuring restful nights. And those views—absolutely breathtaking! The walk to the main part of town was pleasant and manageable, adding to the convenience. Plus, the hosts provided an exceptional complimentary drop-off and pick-up service to and from the town center. Breakfast was another highlight. With a wide variety of choices, every item was fresh and delicious. We especially loved the sweetest and juiciest mangoes that were part of the spread. The level of service throughout our stay was impeccable; every detail was thoughtfully considered to make our stay memorable.

Location was excellent. Staff were happy, attentive and always wanting to make your stay enjoyable. The entrance lounge is beautifully decorated, comfortable and styled well, with 24 hrs hot coffee/hot chocolate/cold drink self serve with something to eat with it.

My stay was perfect! It’s so comfortable, fancy and clean. The bed & the shower, OMG! Perfection!

the breakfast was the best we have ever had, in Brazil and abroad. You need to experience it to believe it.

When we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne. Our room was exceptionally clean and equipped with two air conditioners. Housekeeping visited twice a day, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything was in the details—the cables from our laptops and phones were neatly tied into bows after cleaning. A fresh pitcher of water and small treats, like chocolates, appeared in our room after each visit. One day, I left my shirt crumpled on a chair, and when we returned three hours later, it had been ironed, carefully folded, and wrapped in paper. This hotel is truly a gem in the jungle. Chickens roam freely around the property, parrots reside here, and many birds, including hummingbirds, can be seen flying around. Communication with the reception was handled via WhatsApp, which was much more convenient than using the phone. Every message we sent was responded to within two minutes. The restaurant and bar were beautifully designed, and most importantly, the food was delicious. Breakfast was outstanding and followed a Turkish-style concept—a variety of small, delicious portions were served, leaving us feeling completely satisfied, like a full and happy balloon by the end. Everything was perfect, but there is always room for improvement. Personally, I would have loved to see more animals around the property—perhaps a few friendly cats. Of course, that’s just my personal preference, and the hotel might not agree. We have traveled to more than 30 countries, and for the past three years, we’ve been living for three months in each country we visit. Out of all the places we’ve stayed, this hotel is truly the best we’ve found, and we couldn’t be happier.
