This is an absolutely gem of a hotel and the team led by Mie is delightful. There are very few hotel nowadays who mange to convey like they do the feeling of being received like a friend in a beautiful elegant yet homey environment. The location is fabulous and the building and rooms full of charm and calm: the place is so nice that guests are relaxed and careful with one another. Every detail is meant to be respectful of the nature and the history of the house and it is very cleverly and caringly done. This was a perfect place to stay for a night on our way through Hundested, a small port town close to the hotel. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean with plenty of space for two people and a nice bathroom with an enclosed shower. Breakfast, served in a bright and airy room, included locally made organic yogurt, fruit, bread, cheeses, and eggs with bacon & vegetables. The chance to see several paintings by Danish artist Arne Haugen Sorensen on display was an added bonus. We look forward to coming back again the next time we are in Denmark.
