Lovely small hotel full of history. Very comfortable beds, enough space for clothes. We appreciated the small stories about previous owners and history of the building.

Really well-equipped rooms, wonderful spa area, always friendly staff and wide selection of food and beverages during breakfast and also at their restaurants, which you can easily visit during lunch and/or dinner time.

The hotel qualifies for its superior four-star rating. The personnel is polite and helpful. The ambiance is gorgeous, and there is a luxurious scent in the rooms and halls. The restaurant is marked in the Michelin guide and attracts with its high-quality service and cuisine. The location is exceptional - in the very heart of Tartu's Old Town yet, in the quiet corner of it. Breakfast was wonderful and the waiters were helpful there as well (I would only recommend using less salt in an omelet and no salt & sugar in the porridge). The spa is small & cozy with a luxurious atmosphere inside. Overall, Lydia Hotel provided us with a wonderful stay caring about us at every step.

The Antonius was a grand and exceptionally fine hotel. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. There were two comfortable armchairs in which to relax. The bathroom was huge and had a walk-in shower as well as a clawfoot bathtub. The hotel is in the heart of the Old Town and our view was of the historic 17th-century university. The sites of Tartu were easily reached on foot from this ideally located hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We asked to change our room from a lower floor to a higher floor and were accommodated immediately. Breakfast was delicious and served in a charming medieval room with stone walls, arched ceiling and a large skylight. There was a sumptuous buffet with high-quality items, such as quiche, smoked salmon and sparkling wine, as well as great choices from the a la carte menu. We had an outstanding meal one evening at the Antonius Hotel. We were the only guests and our charming young waitress was kind, professional and knowledgeable. This hotel was superb value and we would recommend it 100% for people visiting Tartu.

Perfect location for old town, really relaxing spa, breakfast with something for everybody (about 3 different sort of milk for exemple) and of course nice hotel.

The place was wonderful, right by the sea with stylish rooms in an old building. Delicious breakfast and very helpful staff!
