Actually I give a 10 which I never do, not only for the charm of the place (nice garden, rooftop, old town situation) but specifically for the attention given. Simon really takes care of his guests like family, arranges all the tours you wish, shows you for free the local life. And that unbelievable breakfast! The best you could imagine, healthy and gourmand. I tell you, no hesitation and thanks again dear Simon 🙏

We had a pleasant experience and the owner was very accommodating. Also I requested vegan breakfast and it was delicious. The room was very big and comfortable, we had hot water and wifi worked well ( I was able to work remotely) Overall great experience and Yohaness is a kind guy that would go above and beyond to make things happen !👏🏻

Fantastic accommodation and the best view in Lalibela. Mr Gashaw was an excellent host and everything went perfectly, from the transport to and from the airport to the reception at the lodge. We felt like we were at home and welcomed into the family. The room was large and very clean, as was the bathroom. The mattress was the most comfortable I've slept on this holiday, and the bed linen was very clean and smelled fresh. The Wi-Fi worked very well. Breakfast was great, with fresh homemade bread, honey, fresh fruit, tea and we had the famous Ethiopian coffee made exclusively for us, with the whole process and ritual of preparation. All the rooms have a magnificent view and you can breathe in the pure mountain air from the balcony. Mr Gashaw was also our guide on the visits to the churches and proved to be very knowledgeable about the history of the churches and their symbolism. He also took us to excellent restaurants and we were able to enjoy a few moments of everyday life in Lalibela with him. I highly recommend this accommodation in Lalibela and Mr Gashaw's guiding service.

My stay in Top Twelve Hotel was memorable. The hotel is located along a cliff offering the best view on the valley and outstanding sunsets. The breakfast on the terrace was tasty with home brewed Ethiopian coffee, omelet, local bread and honey. The hotel is warmly decorated with local colours and furniture.  My room was spacious with a private balcony and soothing view. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable, water pressure was not great but enough to shower with continous hot water. The hotel is at walking distance  from the outstanding Ben Abeba restaurant. Dawit and Yordanos are very nice and responsive hosts. They did their best to make my stay memorable, including the organisation of private guided tours in Lalibela and around.

Absolutely loved my stay at honey Land hotel! The hotel was super clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location close to everything I wanted to see in Lalibela. They even helped me arrange transportation, and tour for Lalibela churches and surrounding which made things so easy. I felt safe and well taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend staying honey Land Hotel!!

This is a great little hotel with very friendly staff. Nowhere else in Ethiopia we felt as well cared for as in Bete Serkie. The room was spacious and in good condition. We would go there again.

Firstly, Birjan, the receptionist arranged my transport pick up & return to the airport, facilitated for my tour guide & checked for any help I needed. During my 4 days stay, it was straight forward check in & out in a spacious bedroom & bathroom with bathtub. The bed is comfortable with clean beddings. I was amazed a bird knocked every morning to wake me up & hear more chirping of various birds. I felt the sights & sounds of nature so relaxing, heartwarming & closer to the Creator. Baladto was happy to serve the breakfast to start my day. Sitting by the terrace, I could see the greenery & the surrounding mountains. Also, the canopy of the churches & the Saturday market are visible which be reached by tuktuk in 10 minutes. Spoken with the Manager Getacho who offered me a free dinner. All these experience is good value for money. Need I say more?
