My seven-year-old child and I stayed for 2 weeks; we both loved the delicious breakfast, fantastic location, attentive service and the comfortable room. Both Simon and Tesema looked after us for the duration of our stay. Gonder is going through some change, but is well worth a visit and is safe to see the sights. We particularly loved the terrace for awesome views around Gondar. See you next time, Simon and Tesema!

Everything was perfect, the place is nice and the owner organised everything for us. He send a guy to pick us up from airport and brought us to hotel. He welcomed us in hotel with a warm welcome. We always felt very save and welcomed and the guide Thomas brought us to all magic churches and in the evening we had a nice dinner with him. The guide pretend us from some beggers and served us like a family. I also recommends a guide otherwise you will not see everything... Hotel, hotel owner and the guide is a great combination..

My stay in Top Twelve Hotel was memorable. The hotel is located along a cliff offering the best view on the valley and outstanding sunsets. The breakfast on the terrace was tasty with home brewed Ethiopian coffee, omelet, local bread and honey. The hotel is warmly decorated with local colours and furniture. My room was spacious with a private balcony and soothing view. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable, water pressure was not great but enough to shower with continous hot water. The hotel is at walking distance from the outstanding Ben Abeba restaurant. Dawit and Yordanos are very nice and responsive hosts. They did their best to make my stay memorable, including the organisation of private guided tours in Lalibela and around.

Close to Kana restaurant, stunning views in the garden, incredible staff, the breakfast and very close to the historical churches. They have a local guide who speaks great English and have incredible knowledge about the history. They even offered me dinner for the last night!
