Everything was perfect! Simon and his stuff provide a very high level service to the customers. Breakfast good and fresh; location strategic and they assist their customers for whatever need and info. Absolutely recommended

The accommodation is comfortable. The room is spacious with clean and hot shower. The breakfast was simple but good. The owner is welcoming and helpful, he always reaches out to make sure everything is okay. The accommodation is not close to the churches but it is very easily to get there by tuktuk. There are some nice restaurants around the accommodation too!

The pickup was well organized and easy, and the welcome coffee ceremony was the most beautiful introduction to Lalibela — warm, grounding, and unforgettable. Breakfast was all organic and local: fresh honey, eggs, and milk, most of it coming directly from the garden and the surrounding community. Every meal was cooked at my request by Gashaw’s wife, whose dishes were infused with genuine care. Her food was delicious, nourishing, and honestly the kind of wholesome cooking you feel in your spirit. The lodge owner, Gashaw, is not only a gracious host but also an exceptional guide. His depth of knowledge about the churches built under King Lalibela is profound. Visiting the churches with him is like stepping into a supernatural realm. The connection to the 12th century — to every person who shaped the patina on those floors and walls — is powerful, humbling, and truly life changing. If you need a reset, this is the place. Here, you fill your mind and spirit with endless possibility and greatness. I slept with my curtains open, stars covering the sky. At dawn, the faint sound of donkeys rising from the valley greeted me as the sun warmed the day. No plastics. No takeaway packs. Just clean, wholesome living — perfect for the mind, body, and soul. The view, the room, the staff were all wonderful. The beds are a little hard, but I think it's because they are traditional beds. So just a heads up. Other than that.... it was a wonderful getaway.

The room was clean, good hot shower, big balcony outside, downstairs has big common area, could read book, good breakfast, and the owner was very kind, offered us traditional coffee and homemade bread, and the restaurant was good as well.

I highly recommand Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. Super friendly owner, who can give us many usuful information about Lalibella, and living in Ethiopia. Also he can arrange quite cheap transport to airport. Hotel serving delicious fresh breakfast made by wife of owner. Romms in hotel are large, clean, bed is very comfortable. Dont think to much, just go to Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. You wont regeret it!

This is a great little hotel with very friendly staff. Nowhere else in Ethiopia we felt as well cared for as in Bete Serkie. The room was spacious and in good condition. We would go there again.

The exceptional care from the staffs and hospitality is second to none I have experienced lately. The pure attention and luxury is good. The brand is exceptional.
