I loved Westin. I was looking for a place just like that, quiet, in the nature, by the water, with sauna, and I got it all. It was so peaceful, and it was so nice to wake up each day and hear the birds sing. I would make my coffee and go and sit by the pier and watch the seagulls dive for fish. There were hiking trails nearby that I took advantage of almost every day. I packed my lunch and went walking in the woods. It is so safe there and I never saw anyone else. It was also really early in the season and I went hiking on weekdays so I did not expect to see anyone. It was also close to Vaasa and it was easy to go shopping for a day.
I had couple of dinners that were extra and they were exceptional. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the meal options. I have many restrictions on my meals due to food intolerances and they still managed to make such wonderful meals for me.

Beautiful place surrounded by farms, you can buy beef from their own black angus cattle. the breakfast was fresh and the staff nice and welcoming. Great value for the money.

Quiet and tranquil place with outstanding furnishings, antiques and very friendly hosts who make you feel part of their family. Very good breakfast and superb dinner in the evening to top it off with a few glasses of wine and intellectual conversation.

had a great time at the hotel. It was both very comfortable and very clean. The staff, especially the owner, were very kind and helpful. The northern lights are very visible. If you're coming here, you should definitely experience this hotel.

We stayed a night here, to break the long road journey from Levi to Tromso and ended up seeing the Northern lights similar to what is in their profile picture, right from the hotel! The staff were so awesome that they felt like family. The rooms were very comfortable and ours was at the end of the corridor with a big window overlooking a snow clad hill. There is a warm seating area next to the reception, with a real fire place, giving it a great vibe.
A lot of activities (as much as you can expect from a 150- person tiny village) on offer around the place, which also is the NW most point of Finland and right next to the borders with Sweden and Norway too.
There is a bus change at Kilpisjarvi when going to Tromso or the other way round, and the bus stops right at the hotel.
Overall we couldn't find a single negative to list out.
Special mention to Niila and Sari - thank you from our hearts. The spruce ice cream dessert at dinner remains the best dessert we have had traveling across EU, in the past two weeks!
