You can feel the charm and personality in every corner, yet everything is beautifully maintained and equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need. It’s a place where time slows down in the very best way, inviting you to truly relax and savor every moment whether its in your Burre, by the pool or in the dining/reception areas. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and absolutely spotless. We loved the shower looking out into the jungle....what a unique experience! Every detail has clearly been considered with care and pride. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Friendly, thoughtful, and always ready with a warm smile or helpful suggestion, they made us feel immediately at ease. It’s clear they love what they do, and that joy is infectious. Whether it was remembering a special birthday or going out of their way to recommend local hidden gems, their attention to detail and genuine kindness made our stay unforgettable. Depika and Ledge were exceptional but not only that, every single member of staff from groundsmen to housekeeping to restaurant staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. I cannot recommend the Fiji Orchid highly enough. It is a truly unique and exceptional experience.

I liked everything about the property. The room was very clean and it’s facilities were very convenient. The location was very nice as it is close to town just a walking distance. There are taxis everywhere. Their cafe is very peaceful, nice and clean and the breakfast and food were very delicious. Lovely staff with their good customer care and smiling faces. I loved everything about this accomodation and I would like to recommend this to friends and families.

Service by the staff...especially from Mr Manoa..he made my son's birthday celebration just amazing..everything was well organized from cake, sitting arrangement and dinner...his wonderful service made our stay and the purpose of our stay a memorable one ....thanking Mr Manoa the food and beverage manager...and looking forward to stay with you soon

The friendly staff and location

As a fan of old, historical hotels, I really enjoyed my stay here. My spacious room had everything I needed—good mattress, shower; the TV even had Netflix and the WiFi worked fine. The grounds are lovely. Dinner isn’t from a menu, but tell them earlier in the day what you want. I had fish, which was delicious. The best part of staying here was the super friendly and genuinely kind staff. They couldn’t have been nicer.

We used the Gateway Hotel as a base for day trips, and extended trips to the islands. It was brilliant - we were able to leave our suitcases in the hotel when away for extended trips, and all the day excursions collected us from outside the hotel. We had the deluxe room which was really comfortable & spacious. Really good value for money.
