The open tent experience, where you can sleep under the stars with an incredible view of the water, was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. The food here is fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and made with love. A special mention goes to the homemade bread, which is a true delight. There’s also an on-site beer garden and bakery, adding to the charm of the property. The owners Gaby & Jochen are wonderfully friendly and always available to help, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The property is nestled in the heart of nature, offering peace, tranquility, and a unique connection to the environment. Another rare and much-appreciated feature in Guatemala is the availability of hot water—a small luxury that makes a big difference. Lastly, everything is impeccably clean and well-maintained, showing the care and effort the owners put into every detail. What amazing hotel. This was my second time in Atitlan and last time I made the mistake of staying in a larger village. This time I chose a smaller village and Aviva hotel, and it was the perfect choice. The room was incredible, comfy bed, stunning views, tasty coffee and a terrace to relax. And the breakfast was sooo good. Run, don't walk to stay here if you visit lake atitlan.

Everything was really fine. The staff was very helpful and kind. The cabañas, the food - the views - everything was wonderful. I liked the jacuzzi very much. :)

Lovely ambience. Facilities new and in excellent condition. Comfortable. Calm, relaxing. Staff were very engaging, work together well as a team, respond promptly to any minor issues that arise. The modest exterior disguises a very nicely styled interior. Everything was excellent.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The property is gorgeous and just walking around the fragrant gardens was a joy in itself. We stayed in a very large room, with a nice shower (good temperature and pressure) and a wonderful bed. Breakfast is amazing as well, with a lot of choices. We didn’t have dinner at the property but we did have drinks on the roof, which is recommended! The jacuzzi looked inviting and the whole property, including the room, was very quiet. The main highlight was the friendliness of the staff. We will definitely come back if we ever return to Antigua.
