He is a very friendly guy with a great passion and knowledge for fishing. He is also a brilliant chef with a lot of experience in the kitchen We felt very welcomed here and would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for an amazing experience

The breakfast was amazing! Any type of egg you could think off with French press coffee. The pastries were so fresh and delicious. The owners and the staff were so friendly and accommodating ! The view's of the lake and mountains from the front yard, and our window were beyond beautiful

Staying at Markree Castle was definitely the highlight of our 3-week trip around Ireland. We felt so fortunate that we decided on Markree after conducting meticulous research on Irish castle stays. It was our first time staying in a castle and we felt like royals! We loved exploring the historical castle, and there was even more to take in than we expected - from a great number of beautifully decorated rooms and spaces to the abbey and the lovely grounds. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and all the staff were most kind and helpful. Our room was very elegant, clean and had a nice view as well. Our stay was magical and didn't lack a thing!

Everything about the hotel and venue was spectacular. The only fault we had is that our magnificent room was next to the elevator, which, of course, operated all night. It wasn't horribly loud, but it was a bit annoying.
