I loved absolutely everything about this manor. It was refined-country, cozy, crisp, and sophisticated-for-Iceland without being pretentious or minimalistic. Painted wooden panels, lush couches and beds that you sink into, spacious bathrooms. Beyond the decor being truly attractive, the staff was always smiling and helpful. After a freezing trip under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall's spray, I felt my extremities again in their clean sauna and further rejuvenated in the pool looking directly out into the landscape. Food was delicious with intriguing combinations of tastes. Parking was free and plentiful, access from the main road was simple, yet removed from the fray. I highly recommend this hotel/manor.

Our first impression of the hotel was that it looked much larger and more beautiful than in the pictures. We stayed in the family suite, which is a spacious 50 m², perfect for the three of us. The room offers a stunning view, is clean, modern, and well-designed, with a clever TV partition separating the bed from the sofa bed. The bathroom is also impressive, featuring both a shower and a bathtub. Additionally, the room comes with a refrigerator, which was very convenient. The location is ideal for visiting nearby attractions such as Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and the ice caves. The hotel’s dinner was delicious, though on the pricier side. The only downside was that the room felt too dark, and we had to request additional lamps to brighten it up.
