Beautiful property right next to the main attractions but in a quiet neighborhood. I woke up and was able to go on a beautiful nature walk in the park and got a bonus view over Kyoto. Loved the private onsen tub.

I loved everything about my stay here

Boutique luxury hotel in Hakone. I believe there are only 9 rooms in total. Brand new and stunning. The room is fantastic - decent size, bathroom huge, wardrobe, bed comfortable and loved the traditional feel to everything in the room, your own onsen with beautiful wooden surroundings that you fill with water yourself and can hear the large waterfall from the native bush below. Just divine and relaxing. Smart tv that you can watch from the onsen or in bed. Because of the waterfall you needed to have the volume up quite high though. Drinks in fridge were for your enjoyment free of charge. They include drinks and snacks in the restaurant area in the afternoon for your enjoyment. Lovely check in process, with a personal touch and a traditional tea. Bus stop right there at road entrance to the hotel - we used this a few times during our stay. Taxi is best when arriving and leaving with suitcases given the hills. 7 eleven a few hundred metres walk. We didn’t want to leave!

This place felt like a dream! We had high expectations and the hotel surpassed them all. Every detail was more than perfect, the staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast was truly impressive and the room was extremely beautiful. We left the hotel feeling so relaxed, we could not have wished for a better getaway in Kyoto. Marufukuro is a gem!

We had a beautiful and very comfortable stay at tamao. The studios are all of modern Japanese style, elegant, big size and very practically decorated. Very much appreciated the washing machine, the small garden in living area. The whole team is very friendly and service minded. It feels like home staying at a friends place. Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful ! Also Naly thank you for helping us with sending our luggage directly to Tokyo! Highly recommend tamao !

Nice residence located in a quiet street almost in the center of Kyoto. Super friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very big and clean. Beds were huge and very confortable.

The hotel is very convenient, Aeon is next door and there is a car rental opposite. I like the bathroom of the hotel the most, it has a clothes drying function, so that families with children can wash clothes every day. The hotel provides very complete facilities, and we can also buy fresh meat and vegetables from the supermarket to cook shabushabu in the room. Will definitely come back next time.
