I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

From the very first moment, we felt right at home. The hosts were incredibly caring and kind, making us feel like part of their family. Their warm welcome and continuous attentiveness made our stay truly special. One highlight was definitely the tour with the host (Rabi) to see the lorises. These fascinating creatures, which are hardly seen anywhere else in the world, left us completely enchanted. It was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. Thank you for this unforgettable time – we will definitely be coming back!

I absolutely loved staying at the villa! The location was perfect, offering both tranquility and easy access to nearby attractions. 1)Mirissa Beach 2) Madiha and Polhena beach 3) Kamburugamuwa beach 4) coconut tree hill The villa itself was superb — spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor space, with its stunning views, breakfast was superb, was especially amazing. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the amenities to the service, truly made it a memorable experience." If you're planning a down-south tour, I highly recommend staying at this villa. The hospitality, and privacy are unmatched in this touristy area, two small private bungalows, hidden in the jungle-garden. We had an incredible stay. Leel organised the safari, which was amazing. He knows the park well, doesn't stay in the beginning of the park but drives well in the park to find the best spots! Dinner (curry) was great, Leels wife is an amazing cook! Will definitely recommend and stay there again.

Everything at Amba Kola was exceptional - especially the people. Louise, Janik, and Janik’s whole family are the loveliest people you will meet. The food is fantastic - everything is locally sourced and prepared with the finest spices and lots of love (Janik’s mom is an award-winning cook by the way). At Amba Kola the hosts will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. They took us around in their safari jeep to see the elephants and wildlife and we even went swimming in the canal! The room (and the whole property) are lovely with so many personal touches to it. Louise is an artist and her art is present all over the place! Also, the outdoor bathroom is unique. I showered in the dark under the stars - an experience like no other. All I can say is: Come to Amba Kola and see for yourself. These people deeply care for what they do and it shows in every aspect. You won’t be disappointed!

The entire team were so friendly and helpful during our stay. Everyone is so passionate and knowledgeable, we loved the spice tour and the ayurvedic massages! The room was spotless and the food was delicious. One of our favourite ever holidays.

Absolutely everything was perfect. Peter is an amazing host. Always in good mood, helpful and has a smile for everyone. We absolutely loved our stay at plantation house. The rooms are huge and very clean. Service is absolutely gorgeous and the people are lovely. The pool is very refreshing and breakfast was our favorite meal. We will definitely come back and stay there again. This is one of the best places we ever stayed and hey after 2 round the world trips this is a really great compliment. Thank you again Peter for everything.

Everything and anything!!! This place is a paradise on earth… truly magical! It’s 3 min by Tuk Tuk, or motorbike from the beach, which is just what you need to be away from the main road. It’s completely immerse in nature and next to the lake… endless numbers of animals and birds surround the property. You have a natural sounds playlist 24h a day!! The owner Andy, and the manager Yanaka + the cooks are the nicest and kindest persons, and they truly do everything to make your stay perfect!! The rooms are incredibly well decorated, huge and super clean with any type of facility!! The garden, overlooking rice fields, is a park itself. You can also get a massage booked or do yoga and breathwork under one of the many trees!! A true place for the soul 🌴🍉🥥 will be back soon
