I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Immaculately maintained property. Gorgeous panoramic view from the room and balcony of mountains and lotus ponds. Spot egrets, parrots, butterflies and apparently loris. You can enjoy a late afternoon walk around the lake after a cooling swim in the pool. Return for the sunset and delicious rice & curry.

Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! The Service was amazing, super friendly and really thought through. The food of the owners mum was the best food we had so far, i never had such a good mango Curry. Also the Safari was super, the Driver gave us always enough time to spot animals. In general, you gonna feel like home at this place.

I want to share my impressions of this heavenly place. An amazing, secluded place to spend a couple's vacation, exceptional service, hospitality, friendly hosts, and the most delicious breakfasts we've ever tasted!!!!! I am so charmed by this hotel that I would love to come back here again and again!!!

The location of Uyana is perfect—peaceful with serene beaches and lush greenery, yet just 5 minutes away from the lively Ahangama town. This offered us the ideal blend of relaxation and access to local culture and activities. Additionally, Janaka and his team were extremely helpful, providing us with 5-star service that made our stay even more memorable.

This is a paradise spot!!! The owner's family has thought about everything. The stunning view, the abundant bird life, the short distance to the park's entrance, but also convenient details indoors, like the switch for the fan beside the bed, make the stay a wonderful experience. We enjoyed our stay fully and are especially thankful for the attention of the owners.

I had a wonderful stay at Royal Lion in Galagadara. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and clean, with stunning mountain views that make your stay feel peaceful and relaxing. The food was also delicious — freshly prepared and full of flavor. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Kandy area who wants a calm and cozy experience with great hospitality!
