I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

You are completely in the nature, only animals and plant sounds, you can free your soul from the rest. The staff is very kind and treat you like a friend

The place is an absolute gem, it is truly worth a 10/10. To start with the room, is is the most comfortable bed and pillows we had in Sri lanka, a great outside bathroom with no bugs, but with homemade soap and shampoo. There is so much love being put in the place, it really is just so nice! Also the common area has such a nice vibe, the swimming pool is so refreshing (we swam everyday) and the food that is cooked is so delicious. Honestly the best food we had in Sri lanka, also the breakfast was so delicious and fulfilling. They also are super helpful and arranged our safari into udawalawe for us and help us get the bus to ella. The mom and son and the rest of the staff are so thoughtful and attentive, really special stay for us.

Beautiful surroundings about 10 mins from the Park gates. It is exactly like the pictures. Clean pristine, comfortable, and convenient. Leel Namalee and their mother were extremely warm and welcoming. Cooked a wonderful dinner for us. Overall one of the best stays in Sri Lanka.

The super friendly staff, who went out of their way to make our stay memorable (eg when my daughter hurt herself they produced a toy elephant for her to keep, or making different dishes of food because had never tried them). Added to this the very relaxed vibe of the place made it the perfect place to end our holiday.

Many thanks to Franziska and Kiki for making us feel like home thousands of miles away. Kindness, smiles, responsiveness and attentiveness of these girls will not leave anyone indifferent :) We would also like to mention the incredible staff of the hotel - you will always be treated with attention and incredibly delicious food :) Very sad to leave this corner of paradise, we will miss you very much! I absolutely loved staying at the villa! The location was perfect, offering both tranquility and easy access to nearby attractions. 1)Mirissa Beach 2) Madiha and Polhena beach 3) Kamburugamuwa beach 4) coconut tree hill The villa itself was superb — spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor space, with its stunning views, breakfast was superb, was especially amazing. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the amenities to the service, truly made it a memorable experience." If you're planning a down-south tour, I highly recommend staying at this villa. The Mayava Villa was the best place we stayed during our travels in Sri Lanka. It is a hidden gem in Ahangama, so dont miss it. The lovely owner Carol, together with the staff members, made our stay truly exceptional. It is not only spotlessly clean but also a perfect place to relax. We hope to come back one day :).

We loved absolutely everything about this property! We felt so welcome and safe! Very bright spacious rooms, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was super delicious and different every day. Peter is a very very nice person, he was so kind to us. It is located in a quiet place perfect for relaxing but at the same time it is not far from the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. I loved how in every room there is a brochure with a list of restaurants, supermarkets and things to do. If you need a ride, there is a Tuk Tuk driver that they would call for you and he is also a very nice guy and not overpriced. If we come to Sri Lanka again, we would definitely stay here again ❤️ thank you so much for everything!

Our family of four had a lovely stay at this property. The property is located in a quiet location with great balcony overlooking rice fields. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful - assisting with transport to and from the property and arranging a very enjoyable day safari to udawalawe National Park. We also enjoyed delicious Sri Lankan dinners plus a special breakfast with our hosts on Sinhalese New Year's Day.
