The staff are absolutely wonderfull. Helpful and always with a smile. The room was huge and spacious and the bed comfortable. On my last day the lovely owner made me a hamburger before my flight back to Yangon. Breakfast was perfect and abundance and gets you through the whole day. Also it is near the jetties for the Inle lake starting point on the boats. Good shops around and restaurants. Markets close by. You must try the winery!!!! Well worth the visit. Thank you to everyone at the Sandalwood Hotel….

We really liked the hotel, very friendly staff, the room was comfortable and very clean, there was hot water and electricity all the time, the location was good, the area was safe and picturesque. Very big, modern hotel with excellent facilities in a stunning lakeside location. Beautiful infinity pool with a bar and poolside dining. Fine dining in the penthouse and a busy lounge bar in the spacious entrance atrium. Busy with weddings and parties which were colourful and fun to watch. Exceptionally helpful staff when one of our cases was late to arrive. Flexible too, waiving the day visitor fee so that our family could join us by the pool. Magnificent breakfast buffet incorporating many different Asian cuisines as well as western standards, best I’ve ever seen. A bit of an oasis in Yangon.
