Hotels in the Maldives

We just came back home and wondering from where to start this review. Rattehi Inn at Rakeedhoo absolutely went above all our expectations. New hotel with best staff and management who treat you like a family member. Hotel manager Niya lives the hospitality and will accommodate every request you ask. I hope we were not too demanding but literally what we asked it happened, from the tours off the island, special celebrations, additional dining options, everything. Menu in the restaurant is not long at the moment since they just started but we heard about plans to extend it a bit. Nevertheless, all meals prepared by the chef were wonderful. Buffet breakfast great as well every morning. Waiters Daminder and Eric and Houskeeper Baboo are kindest people we met, hard workers but always with sincere smile. Island by itself is the smallest inhabited in all Maldives, however there are a lot of options around and we are already making plans when we come back what to do. For the end if you are checking pictures of other islands, reading experiences of other people about Maldives or having any doubts just stop, nothing can be compared what Niya and his team can do here to make your vacation wonderful and make you sad on departure day, but with strong wish to come back again. Really nice and comfortable place. Staff are very attentive and helpful in any situation. Room was equipped with all kinds of tools you need. Coffee and tea are always available at the lobby/garden.

I had an incredible stay at Hudhufas Villa. The accommodation was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely balcony that overlooked a beautiful garden. You can tell the owner really cares about the details, from the comfortable amenities to the thoughtful touches throughout the villa. It truly made our vacation even better. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained, and welcoming spot in the Thoddoo!

Fantastic hotel, recommend it 100% to everyone. The moment I booked, Shiyam (the owner of the hotel) whatsapped me and helped me coordinate the speedboats (60 USD each way, less than 2h) + sent me a catalogue with all the activities (whale shark encounter, manta ray, etc) and the whole trip prepation was very smooth and easy. Once I arrived to the island they picked me up from the port and transferred to the hotel and was received by Anoof - a great guy - who gave me a coconut as a welcome drink. The property is small, 7-8 rooms aprox and very well taken care off. It was inaugurated in November 2024 and everything is very new and clean. The room was very spacious, AC was working perfectly, super clean and comfortable bed and a very modern bathroom and shower. Wifi was working perfectly from both the room and the restaurant. The hotel is a at a walking distance from the beaches and the "main street" of the island which has some souvenir stores and tiny supermarket. The hotel offers bikes for free and you can rent mopeds. Hotel provides towels you can take to the beach of for excursions. The whole island is 3km long and you can easily walk from the hotel to the very end of the island in about 45min-1h. This walk has the most beautiful beach you will ever see. One of the best islands I've ever been to. Breakfast is included with the room and offers both a local option and international. Quality is really good. Take into account everything in Maldives, specially in tiny islands, is imported so finding basic things such as eggs or fresh vegetables is neither easy nor cheap, however this hotel offers good products. The food from the restaurant is also quite good. The Maldivian curry and the rice with Tuna were delicious. Finally, excursions have very decent prices. Whale shark 90 USD (compared to the 500 USD that resorts charge, and it is the same sea and animals), Manta Ray (60 USD), etc. If I am ever back in Dhigurah I will certainly stay here

Very nice and quiet location. The best local island experience. The host is very friendly and provides all the information you need. Many options for day trips and activities in reasonable prices.

+ Everything is made out of bamboo. Not in a cheap way, but in a classy and eco kind of way. It looks super nice! The property is beautifully maintained and is super clean! + They serve breakfast at 08:00, lunch at 13:00 and dinner at 20:00. Everyone eats together in the restaurant that is open to the outsides and is beautifully located next to the beach. All is served in buffet form. They change the menu with every meal and the food is absolutely delicious!! (We booked half-board, but could pay for either buffet or a la carte lunch on the spot) + During our stay we got brand new snorkelling equipment to use for free. + On an information board in the restaurant, you can see what excursion is planned for the next day. The activity depends on the weather. You can opt in or out. We went snorkelling for 25 USD per person. + The staff is super friendly and goes absolutely above and beyond for you to have a good time. + Our speedboat back was scheduled at 13:00, the property gave us a late check-out till 12:00 for free.

At this accommodation you will find everything you want, a delicious breakfast, friendly people ready to help you with everything you need, accommodation close to the beach and offering snorkeling equipment. Ahmed organized the most beautiful activities at ocean. Whatever activity we wanted to do or whatever we needed, the people at the accommodation helped us and offered us. This accommodation is more than a simple place to stay, the people there make you feel like part of the family. A part of our soul remained there and we couldn't wait to return.
