Our goal for this getaway was simple: to unwind and escape the everyday. We were drawn to this destination for its promise of seclusion, minimal crowds, attractive pricing, and encouraging reviews for a recently launched establishment. We weren't disappointed – it delivered on all fronts. From the outset, communication with the owner and manager via WhatsApp was seamless and helpful, including arranging our transfers. The island is wonderfully intimate; you can explore its entirety in a gentle 10-minute walk. The tranquility, with so few other visitors, was precisely the atmosphere we craved. The accommodation is new, bright, and tastefully furnished, true to the online photos. The room was well-equipped with air conditioning, a fan, a private bathroom with a shower, a mini-fridge, and a safe. We slept soundly on the comfortable double bed, and daily water was a thoughtful touch. The restaurant offers a core menu, but the kitchen team was incredibly flexible, preparing our requests, and the seafood platter was fantastic. Just make sure you arrange this in advance. One of the most memorable moments was when Nya, having heard my wife’s birthday had just passed, surprised her with a cake and candles while the entire staff sang 'Happy Birthday'. It was a genuinely heartwarming gesture that left my wife overjoyed. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, genuinely welcoming, and always smiling. The pristine beach and crystal-clear water were a daily delight. We had incredible encounters with marine life, spotting turtles, small sharks, and even a graceful stingray. Nya also offered a selection of activities at fair prices, enhancing our experience. Ultimately, this was an impeccable choice for the peaceful and rejuvenating holiday we envisioned. I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem for those seeking a private, picturesque, and budget-friendly escape.

Food was better than I expected. The retreat also exceeded my expectations with service and cleanliness. I do not think there is anything that I did not like. Being able to mix with the locals made it an amazing experience.

Dive and Sleep is the perfect place for divers. Jarda and Midhoo and their team took us out on 3 different dives every day and made sure that we had a great time. There was so much underwater wildlife - it was amazing. And unlike other resorts there were no hidden fees, everything was included in the price. The local island is small and perfect for little walks, not so much for swimming during low tide. The rooms were spacious and clean and the 3 meals were fantastic.

From the start everything was super, communication with people before we traveled, they organised transfer for us, greeted us with nice refreshing drinks and gave us all useful information. We had room on the ground floor that looked at the bikini beach and sea. On the white sandy beach we had beach beds and table and chairs. Now about the sea (well ocean)…crystal clear water and part where you can swim and house reef where you can snorkel and see amazing colourful fish. Staff was amazing (I am terrible with names), but every single member of staff was friendly and polite, from our waiter, Sri Lankan chef, hotel manager…everyone. They organised trips for us. Out of many different trips we chose 3. We had Dolphin Safari where we saw 100’s of dolphins and took amazing photos and videos. Then we had snorkelling trip to see turtles and again we took some great pics and videos. Our guide even took my GoPro and filmed us swimming with turtles. Unforgettable experience! We also had Night Fishing trip, where we caught many fishes, like tuna, barracuda, red snapper etc. Then they prepared most amazing beach dinner with our catch. In the restaurant you have a choice between continental breakfast and local one (many times we had both of them). Also you can eat pancakes with various toppings and there was always cold juice and water. For dinner you have different choices, like various soups to start with, then various curries, rice and noodle dishes, fish, various ways of chicken, pizzas, burgers…and desert at the end. We were very happy with food. I can highly recommend Belmars Beach and will definitely come back at some point, as we had a brilliant time there.

I had the most incredible birthday at Bageecha Stay! The rooms were absolutely spotless, with a lovely fresh scent and everything feeling brand new. The service was top-notch – personalized and thoughtful at every turn. The food? Delicious and beautifully presented! One of the best parts is the ability to choose between local Maldivian dishes or European cuisine, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The island is the perfect size for exploring, with clean beaches and stunning ocean views. The view from my room was breathtaking, with the ocean stretching out right before my eyes. The highlight of my stay was taking a boat trip to a deserted island, which turned out to be the most unforgettable experience. It was peaceful, beautiful, and truly magical – a once-in-a-lifetime moment! For those who love to explore, the resort offers bicycles that you can take and ride around the island. It’s a fun and relaxing way to see every corner of this beautiful place. Everything at Bageecha Stay is designed with attention to detail. The rooms were cleaned regularly, ensuring everything stayed fresh and pristine. They even have special branded beach towels, which was a lovely touch and added to the luxurious feel of the stay. Another unique feature of the resort is the sight of planes taking off – a fascinating experience that makes for amazing photos! The transfer from the airport was very comfortable – we were greeted upon arrival, and everything was handled smoothly. Thank you, Bageecha Stay, for an unforgettable birthday! We recently had the opportunity to stay at a family-run guesthouse on five different islands in the Maldives, and we can confidently say that the guesthouse we stayed at was by far the best of them all. Not only was the service and hospitality exceptional, but the island itself was a true paradise. The beautiful nature and stunning beaches were truly breathtaking. The crystal clear water and white sandy beaches were like something out of a postcard. We spent many hours exploring the island and its surroundings, taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean and the lush vegetation. The island is surrounded by coral reefs teeming with colorful fish and marine life, which made snorkeling a highlight of our stay. We were lucky enough to see mantas, dolphins, sharks, sting rays and many more fascinating sea creatures during our stay. The snorkeling and diving opportunities were truly exceptional, we even came close to seeing a whale shark by an hour but unfortunately missed it. But what truly made this family-run guesthouse stand out was the exceptional personal service provided by the staff. The owners and staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They were always available to help with any requests or questions we had, and they truly made us feel like valued guests. A special touch to our stay was that we were served breakfast and lunch directly on the beach (different spots) which made our experience even more special and memorable. In short, if you are looking for a Maldives vacation that offers the best of both worlds - exceptional service, beautiful island, stunning beaches, amazing marine life, and a family-run atmosphere - then this guesthouse is the perfect choice. It was hands down the best stay we had on the whole Maldives, and we cannot recommend it enough.

+ Everything is made out of bamboo. Not in a cheap way, but in a classy and eco kind of way. It looks super nice! The property is beautifully maintained and is super clean! + They serve breakfast at 08:00, lunch at 13:00 and dinner at 20:00. Everyone eats together in the restaurant that is open to the outsides and is beautifully located next to the beach. All is served in buffet form. They change the menu with every meal and the food is absolutely delicious!! (We booked half-board, but could pay for either buffet or a la carte lunch on the spot) + During our stay we got brand new snorkelling equipment to use for free. + On an information board in the restaurant, you can see what excursion is planned for the next day. The activity depends on the weather. You can opt in or out. We went snorkelling for 25 USD per person. + The staff is super friendly and goes absolutely above and beyond for you to have a good time. + Our speedboat back was scheduled at 13:00, the property gave us a late check-out till 12:00 for free.

First of all, I highly recommend you read it until the end. An excellent facility on a small and quiet local island full of underwater riches. As soon as you put your feet into the water at the tourist beach, you are surrounded by dozens of different species of fish, but swimming with the fish seen on Youtube is a priceless experience. Mr. Ahmad, the owner of the hotel, is a very polite and helpful person. He is very professional in making all the necessary arrangements for you when you arrive from the capital to the island, in welcoming you at the entrance and when you leave the island. If you want to participate in off-island activities, they will help you as much as they can. You have breakfast as an open buffet at the best restaurant on the island. You should definitely try the product made especially from fresh tuna. Among the 4 hotels I stayed in on 4 different islands during my Maldives trip, this was definitely the newest, cleanest and cheapest. I can guarantee that you will feel at home in this hotel. I would also like to consider that restaurants, off-island activities, and many other things on the island are cheaper than on many tourist islands. Also; Mahibadhoo may not be the best island in the Maldives, but it is a fact that there are better ones in terms of nature and tourism. But if you really want to relax in a quiet environment, this quiet and tiny island located in the natural wonder South Ari Atoll is definitely one of the best local islands you can find. Never mind that the tourist beach is smaller than some, because there are only a few people on the beach at most, so the beach is yours! I definitely recommend splitting your Maldives holiday across more than one island, as I did, and devoting at least some of it to this island and this hotel.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Horizon in Dhigurah! The guesthouse is cozy, clean and just a short walk from the beautiful beach. Our room was spotless, cleaned thoroughly every day and always perfectly tidy. The overall atmosphere was very relaxing. But what really made our stay special was the incredible hospitality of the staff. A heartfelt thank you to Mippo and Ahu, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. They were always available, kind and full of helpful advice, from organizing excursions to making sure we were comfortable at all times. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine Maldivian island experience!

Had a great experience! Ahmed was super responsive and really helpful throughout my stay. He arranged smooth transport from the airport and also helped organize my transfer to Rasdhoo when I left. Everything was hassle-free. Highly recommend — would definitely come back!
