Hotels in the Maldives

Our goal for this getaway was simple: to unwind and escape the everyday. We were drawn to this destination for its promise of seclusion, minimal crowds, attractive pricing, and encouraging reviews for a recently launched establishment. We weren't disappointed – it delivered on all fronts. From the outset, communication with the owner and manager via WhatsApp was seamless and helpful, including arranging our transfers. The island is wonderfully intimate; you can explore its entirety in a gentle 10-minute walk. The tranquility, with so few other visitors, was precisely the atmosphere we craved. The accommodation is new, bright, and tastefully furnished, true to the online photos. The room was well-equipped with air conditioning, a fan, a private bathroom with a shower, a mini-fridge, and a safe. We slept soundly on the comfortable double bed, and daily water was a thoughtful touch. The restaurant offers a core menu, but the kitchen team was incredibly flexible, preparing our requests, and the seafood platter was fantastic. Just make sure you arrange this in advance. One of the most memorable moments was when Nya, having heard my wife’s birthday had just passed, surprised her with a cake and candles while the entire staff sang 'Happy Birthday'. It was a genuinely heartwarming gesture that left my wife overjoyed. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, genuinely welcoming, and always smiling. The pristine beach and crystal-clear water were a daily delight. We had incredible encounters with marine life, spotting turtles, small sharks, and even a graceful stingray. Nya also offered a selection of activities at fair prices, enhancing our experience. Ultimately, this was an impeccable choice for the peaceful and rejuvenating holiday we envisioned. I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem for those seeking a private, picturesque, and budget-friendly escape.

This hotel is really something special. Shiyam and his team are very friendly and helpful. He takes time for his guests and is not only a very pleasant person but also an excellent host. The entire hotel is designed with attention to detail, from the rooms to the relaxed courtyard. The name “Oasis” is 100% accurate. The rooms are very clean and new. The authentic food is always delicious and there are many different activities on offer, such as snorkeling trips, renting bikes or motorbikes. There's really nothing negative to report. I will come here again when I return to the beautiful island of Dhigurah. Thank you very much Shiyam and see you next time

Dive and Sleep is the perfect place for divers. Jarda and Midhoo and their team took us out on 3 different dives every day and made sure that we had a great time. There was so much underwater wildlife - it was amazing. And unlike other resorts there were no hidden fees, everything was included in the price. The local island is small and perfect for little walks, not so much for swimming during low tide. The rooms were spacious and clean and the 3 meals were fantastic.

The pearl that reaches out from the ancient Maldivian sea to bring its energy to the edge of the world. No panic, no worries from the moment you land in Male. They have their own people there, which is easy to find - they are wearing Ecoboo T-shirts. And we are waiting for you. Once you land, you are taken care of... Recommended for people who travel to Maldives for the first time in their arrangement. Breakfast self-service options include American breakfast, Continental breakfast, Oatmeal, Sausage, Bacon, Cereal, French toast, Hash browns, various omelets, juice, water (lemon), coffee, tea, hot milk, yogurt, and fresh fruits (watermelon, papaya, orange, apples). Dinner was the same variety of foods from around the world. The dinner was the same. Fresh fruits are always available, as are a variety of pastries (even at breakfast). The location is on the beach, no extra coverage is needed, fresh beach towels every day, fresh bedsheets, towels are impeccably clean, and the staff is exceptionally kind ( they do everything one needs even if that's not their job). The locals are different from other atolls, more tolerable and understanding for tourists than in any atol I've been to. Water stripped: the places deep enough to swim - white sand and the coral reef for snorkeling. Convenient for small children, with plenty of natural shade and enough sunbeds. The beach is long and extensive. The stores are a 1-minute walk from the hotel (please note that it is polite for you to cover your skin while walking into the center, as is customary on all atolls).

An absolute gem in the Maldives. The island is amazing and still pristine, the locals are very friendly and the hotel itself is AMAZING. It gives you a feeling of staying at a friends house. They also have Fina diving centre, the first free diving school in the Maldives. Free diving with Ismail (the owner) was the best possible way to explore the island and the rich ocean life.

I had the most incredible birthday at Bageecha Stay! The rooms were absolutely spotless, with a lovely fresh scent and everything feeling brand new. The service was top-notch – personalized and thoughtful at every turn. The food? Delicious and beautifully presented! One of the best parts is the ability to choose between local Maldivian dishes or European cuisine, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The island is the perfect size for exploring, with clean beaches and stunning ocean views. The view from my room was breathtaking, with the ocean stretching out right before my eyes. The highlight of my stay was taking a boat trip to a deserted island, which turned out to be the most unforgettable experience. It was peaceful, beautiful, and truly magical – a once-in-a-lifetime moment! For those who love to explore, the resort offers bicycles that you can take and ride around the island. It’s a fun and relaxing way to see every corner of this beautiful place. Everything at Bageecha Stay is designed with attention to detail. The rooms were cleaned regularly, ensuring everything stayed fresh and pristine. They even have special branded beach towels, which was a lovely touch and added to the luxurious feel of the stay. Another unique feature of the resort is the sight of planes taking off – a fascinating experience that makes for amazing photos! The transfer from the airport was very comfortable – we were greeted upon arrival, and everything was handled smoothly. Thank you, Bageecha Stay, for an unforgettable birthday! The owners of this small accommodation are very friendly and helpful. The days were filled with various little surprises. While many resorts may be lavish and expensive, Mandhoo Island offers an original experience of Maldivian life! Highly recommend to anyone looking for something authentic and unique.

Imran is an amazing manager! He manages the place like his own and very attentive to every need. Staff was cheerful and attentive all the time as well. To be honest our stay was beyond our expectations 10/10 and if I could give more than 10 I would! A couple of things that the staff did was very heartwarming. Even-though I didn't mention that we came for holidays in Maldives for my mums birthday they've checked the dates and noticed it and prepared a special surprise for us! It was very unexpected and made us feel cozy and happy! The second thing that amazed me is my SD card for the underwater camera didn't work and Imran managed to bring a new one from Male! He organized all our outdoor trips/excursions etc. In short we will be back when we have time for sure. Thanks for everything!!! Darya and Anna

We really enjoyed staying Ataraxis. The place is very new and so clean. All staff are very kind and friendly, also the owner helped to organize to rent surf board, taxi, even late check out. Really appreciated everything they did. We also enjoyed sauna which was so good, only they have it in the island. The amazing beaches are walking distance, defenately highly recommended this place.
