Simply excellent. The support, the help with questions, the room. Everything was simply perfect.

Hands down the Best hostel where I have been! The common area was super nice and comfortable, the kitchen was very nice and had free water/coffee/tea available for the guests. Free breakfast was soo good you had 2 options to choose from. Everything was super clean and you just feel like at home. Then to the best part THE BED ohmy it was the best bed I have been sleeping in Malaysia so far. I was in 8ppl dorm room. You get 2 fluffy pillows and a blanket and the mattress is just perfect. The beds are wide and with a curtain. And then the STAFF. Wenesa my dear hosted us a wanton night so we made them together and ate together. Just had the best time here with a bunch of lovely people. I couldn’t recommend it more. It made Ipoh special for me thank you so much for all the staff❤️

The owner are fantastic we had a problem with my wife's health they were fantastic helping us the garden and pool are lovely room are large and spotless.

The hotel is a dream! Everything is beautifully furnished and it's really super clean! The concept with the lounge and the kitchen is a really good idea! We received a very warm and friendly welcome. We are on our honeymoon and there was a surprise waiting in our room (see photo). A visit here is really something very special. We have extended our stay by a week because we like it so much. The staff are very accommodating, kind and friendly! Chanel and Miumiu (the hotel owner's cats (also super friendly!!) who visit from time to time in their little house) must also be mentioned! We would love to take them with us :) We would really like to say a big thank you to the team, especially to Sharkir, he is always in a good mood, very hardworking, super friendly and very accommodating!

Can't recommend this highly enough. This place has so much character and is so beautifully decorated, you really feel like you're staying in a historic house. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The location is great and easy to get around either walking or a short drive away. Breakfast was good with continental one day and dim sum another. We stayed in Clove 1 and 2 which are interconnecting rooms, very spacious and spotless.

My stay at Else Hotel was my best one so far! It’s clean, its new, its grand. It’s calm, its relaxing and not to mention the decorations the interior was beautiful. I stayed for 4 nights in the Mantra room, and it was just nice for a single person. I had the meeting room to study and work, it was cosy, quiet and conducive. I loved it so much. I had the breakfast there everyday and it was immaculate. Ordered the mango yoghurt pudding granola thingy and I was hooked on it and repeated the same order every morning ! Else Hotel, if you could send me the recipe for that at shiuyin1030@hotmail.co, that would be amazing. I have been trying to replicate the dish at home and I just could not get it right. The chicken pokey ball dish I ordered for room service was heaven too, the chicken was made sous vide style i believe, then charred, was the best best combination to the entire dish. I really had a good time. Definitely will come back. <3

Amazing owner and staff that really genuinely want you to have an amazing stay. So serviceminded and nice. With much knowledge to share about the island, were to eat, se and visit. Good breakfast were we got to try many different malaysian treats. It is a good place to stay if you like to visit different spots on the island and dont mind taking a Grab.

The room is excellent. 5 star. Palace style

The hotel is located within the district of Jonker Street but stayed away from the hustle and bustle of the busiest area. One can easily walk to some museums and also many nice restaurants nearby. Some scenic spots are also within 10 minutes walk.
