Great place if you like to be close to nature and only few people around. We enjoyed a lot been in house inside forest with a lake close to the house. Bart, thank you so much for your warm hospitality, recommendation of the hiking trail, all presents we got and amazing dinner (thank for everyone who was preparing it)!

Such high quality of everything at such a remote location. The staff was great, doing an excellent job of running the place. The food was so delicious: the breakfast, the dinner, and also the freshly baked cookies and cakes in the community building. A special treat was watching movies about the history of this remarkable place in the evening, in the comfortable sofas of the bar area. The rooms are clean and simple. I initially worried a bit staying there would become boring, since there is no internet, and it is not possible to leave the hotel on your own (because of the possibility of polar bears). I was wrong: Multiple guided tours could be booked on the spot, visiting different areas of the settlement (or, in summer, even the surroundings, but I was there in October, with snow already covering the landscape). I highly recommend this place, run so professionally by the staff.

It was a spectacular hotel! Very clean, amazing breakfast, very cosy and with a wonderful river view. Hope to stay sometime again. And for the ones who are visiting Geirengar, i suggest to stay in this hotel instead of Geirengar, if you have easy transport.
