Amazing hosts with phenomenal food and the best margarita's in Zanzibar. They really went the extra mile to make the stay so fantastic. Lovely attentive staff and great value for money.

Our whole experience at this Resort was incredible, the whole staff, managers were very friendly, professional, met all our needs, i would specially want to give a special shout out to the manager Afshan, the whole crew, Issa, Denis, Neema, Anil, Elizabeth, Martin, Sophia, Ndende, Ishaq, Nasra, Mtumwa, Beatrice, Sarafina and lastly Mr Salum all you Guys are the REAL MVP, We will be Back for Sure with more Friends and Family sooner than you think, Please keep the Great Work and God Bless you all

First and foremost, I love the mission of the Lodge. The fact that they work towards improvement for the Maasai women in the area is amazing. Second, the people working at the Lodge are terrific. Susan, in particular, makes you feel at home with good conversations and nice home-cooked meals. Third, the facilities are perfect. Everything you need is ready at hand and you get the perfect combination of authentic experience and comfort. I stayed in the tents, which are great if you’re travelling on a budget. They are affordable and comfortable with nice mattresses, duvets and mosquito nets. You also have toilet and bathing facilities in connection with the tents. The traditional Maasai huts were unfortunately fully booked but Susan was kind enough to show me one before I left. These look absolutely amazing with cozy beds and private washroom. I’ll definitely have to try them out next time! One of the highlights of the stay was the motorcycle safari. We drove out in the bush in the afternoon and experienced the most amazing sights of giraffes, elephants and zebras. We were even lucky enough to have a giraffe visit us inside the Lodge area!

Stunning place, 2 steps from the beach, we loved everything! Kimulimuli Ayurveda Spa retreat is not only a place, it’s an experience. Very friendly welcoming staff, big rooms, tastefully decorated, the best breakfast we had in Tanzania, very unique themed restaurant with super delicious food and absolutely amazing ayurveda spa. Definitely recommended us must see place when in Zanzibar snd Tanzania, and surely we will be back here next year.

Babalao Bungalow is a hidden GEM 💎 in Nungwi!! Location was everything and more! I had a phenomenal experience from start to finish! Max, the host/owner, went above and beyond...sharing details about restaurants in the area and a thorough description of how to navigate around Nungwi! I'm a solo traveler and I was super super comfortable at Babalao Bungalow! Best of all...I extended my stay and Max was super kind to accommodate me! The staff were very friendly and breakfast was exceptional! I got most of my breakfast packed up to go as most of my days was off site for tours and adventures! Thank you Thank you and Thank you Max and Staff for making this solo trip so memorable 💖 Bonus there is a super cute doggie!

Delightful, quiet small hotel right behind the long beach. Shielded from the beach (and from people trying to sell stuff) by palms and green shrubs, while sea view is perfectly preserved. Big pool, good for swimming (you can't really swim easily in the sea because of strong tides and sea grass, which is the case almost everywhere on the island) but the pool was never crowded and had enough comfortable loungers shaded by palms. Nice bar and restaurant area. Breakfast has plenty of delicious included dishes, we didn't try any of the additional ones. Restaurant is truly great. More expensive than the places down the beach, and we did try a few, but eventually we stopped trying because the hotel restaurant was, truly, much, much better. We had a few cocktails which were excellent. The place is very quiet and peaceful, so if you are looking for party atmosphere and action, you'll be bored. But small and quiet in the best location is what we look for, so that is worth a 10 rating to us. The owner however can organize activities - he arranged a day trip for us with a fantastic visit of a spice farm and tour of Stone Town, and perfectly personalized - we got to buy the best spices at his supplier in the huge chaotic market, where we would just have gotten lost on our own. So just ask. There's an outstanding scuba center almost next door, so that was perfect for us - we could leave the hotel at 8, walk the couple of steps down the beach to the center and be back around noon after 2 fantastic dives around Mnemba Island. That was all the activity we needed. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, air con was silent and working perfectly. We loved that they only put a crisp white cotton sheet on the bed, which invited to keep the air conditioning around 27-28°. We hate finding heavy warm duvets on a bed in the tropics, which imply cooling down the room exaggeratedly. Photos of the hotel correspond very much to the reality.

We stayed a day, but if we had time, we would stay a few more days! All the staff were friendly and the room was clean and tidy. The view of the beach from the terrace is amazing! The Rock Restaurant is within walking distance. I recommend it to those who want a quiet rest.

The bungalows were beautifully designed, offering a charming and authentic atmosphere surrounded by nature. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available to help. The location was peaceful and relaxing, yet conveniently close to the beach and local attractions. Breakfast was fresh.

Exceptional, in every way. Room, service and food all brilliant. The hosts are lovely and this is a beautiful place to just chill out.

*A Peaceful Paradise with Purpose* Palmera Zanzibar is a serene oasis just outside a charming village. I loved the peaceful garden, the spotless infinity pool, and the magical ocean views—especially at sunset. The food was creative, delicious, and all homemade (including fresh breads and cakes!). My room was beautifully decorated, with a comfy bed, sea view, and solar-powered AC—much appreciated in the heat! What makes Palmera truly special is its mission: it’s part of the More Than A Drop Hospitality College, training underprivileged girls for careers in hospitality. The staff and students were incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel safe and welcome. Highly recommended—for both the experience and the amazing cause behind it.

Absolutely fantastic place. Wonderful and luxurious resort if you are looking for peace, quiet, amazing service can't stay anywhere else.

The location is perfect, you can watch the animal drink water from the pond. The hotel is beautiful and the staff s incredibly sweet and attentionate. Service and follow-up is impeccable. They had organized everything from A-Z. No words to describe this perfect hotel, it is really outstanding and worth the money.
