It is beautifully crafted in the style of local palaces and the family that own it are simply gorgeous, the lady speaks amazing English, the children are charming and even their young British Blue cat is supremely cute😂 The staff are always on hand and are genuinely friendly and go out of their way to ensure you make the most of your time - on hand at breakfast (which is superb 👌) to explain the food and to look after you. Also, laundry is charged at only 10,000 Som per item. The hotel in Khiva charged 20-45,000 per item, depending on what it was.

The hotel is in a superb location: it is with in the fortress walls of the old city, but quiet and within walking distance of all the sites. The rooms are nice size and the breakfasts are bountiful. Most of all, the hotel - which is family run - has the friendliest and most helpful concierge. Try it!
