An absolute little jewel in the Gritjie private game reserve. JP & Danielle and at the time also their daughter Camille gave our honeymoon stay the absolute perfect touch. Extra champagne and a personal congratulations card gives you bubbles in your belly as well. 🥰 JP is an excellent ranger with a lot of knowledge which he enjoys to share and Danielle make the best food to your preferences you can imagine. You can rest assured that you will not leave this place hungry. This is the best safari experience we have ever had. Although we did not see an overwhelming amount of animals but that is a total lottery. This stay was totally A-mazing!!! 🤩😍

I cannot rate the communication from the owner highly enough. Super helpful and prompt. The location is super and the villa itself simply has all the comforts. So cosy. Lovely villa with exceptional quality. Especially the beds and pillows. Thank you 🙏

After many years travelling and staying at many hotels we can only say: THAT Was THE HOTEL! Very quite location, in front of a lagoon. The room was enormous and fantastic, really comfortable, with all Kind of details (including books!!!). The common areas were as well do cozy and well decorated. Dinner & breakfast really good. But the best... The employees! Thanks for everything, it was FANTASTIC!

Beautiful hotel with stunning views over Cape Town. Every corner of Dorp, from its guest rooms, to it’s main dining room, to it’s multiple game and social rooms, has been carefully crafted to embody a level of charm and wisdom only nourished with age; having been built a few years ago, this only reinforces the talent behind the interior and exterior architecture and decor. The attention to detail, from warm smiles from all staff, to an exquisite culinary menu, and finally to the care and hospitality shared with guests has made this hotel one of the best we’ve been to - ever.

We loved this amazing Safari lodge! Warren and his team were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We loved the safari drives and the bush walk is a must do! We saw all of the big 5 plus so many more beautiful animals and birds. Warren's knowledge of everything in the park is astonishing and we loved learning about the history of the area and South Africa in general from him. The property is stunning and we especially loved eating/relaxing on the deck watching the many animals pass by.

This property is a boutique hotel with a lot of charming. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. The receptionist (whose very friendly and helpful), offered us a glass of bubbly to cool down, we sat under the beautiful trees and talked about the property and its history. Then, they upgraded us to a a bigger room over the main building. The room dated to 1600s which I find super cool. The food was delicious, the property is very well maintain, the staff is very friendly, the pool is a good size for a property with 15 rooms only. The breakfast is served under the trees in the garden. This place is magic. The sherry on top was the details, every night they'll come the room and leave you water and sweets by the bed, then at check-out they gave us a little bag with goodies including a small bottle of their own wine (yes, they also make their own wine). I highly recommend this hotel.

We spent 2 nights in Motswari Private Game Reserve and it was an unforgettable experience! Wonderful food, service, exclusivity and personal attention. Our ranger, Marius was exceptional and made every game drive and our walking safari unforgettable. His trackers, Elvis and Misha was just as amazing with their knowledge of the animals and the bush. We saw 3 of the 5 "big five" in just 1.5 days of being there, thanks to these guys. The food and service at the lodge was beyond our expectations in every way. I was a vegetarian and they catered for me with exceptional skill and charm. The food was really outstanding, thank you Glenda and team! Our other hosts, Desmond and MJ looked after every detail and made our stay wonderful. Our room was large, luxurious and comfortable. We each had a great massage too (thank you Lerato), in a space where you can watch giraffes walk by... The setting of this private lodge is amazing, you overlook a river with giraffes and elephants walking by. We even had a hyena come close to us while sitting around the camp fire - so special. This was a once in a life time experience and we hope to be back again soon!

The location is beautiful - between the mountains and ocean, it takes about 30 mins to walk to the lighthouse and the southernmost point of Africa (5 mins by car) and I recommend to have a walk. The views are amazing! The house is very cosy and rooms have anything you may need including a small fridge and nespresso machine. They serve fresh artisan bread in the morning (among other things) and are ready to meet any dietary requirements of the guests. I also loved the soap and shower gel in the bathroom (all produced in SA), their delicate natural scents complement the atmosphere of the place perfectly.

Great location with a wonderful view of the lagoon. Nice big rooms comfortably fitted out. Friendly, helpful staff. The boat ride included was very enjoyable.
