Lions Place is a fabulous lodge. Located in the middle of a private reserve bordering the Kruger National Park, the hotel provides a luxury experience. Besides being very nice, well decorated and comfortable, it offers several alternatives to tour the area with highly trained guides (Congratulations to JB and Ian for their fantastic work as guides!) The room is very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, a large bathroom with a large bathtub, closets, tea and coffee making facilities, cold water and an incredible view of the savannah. Lions Place also has a swimming pool, and two viewpoint that allow you to view the beautiful scenery, plus the garden where if you are lucky you can find wild animals (we saw a porcupine). JB, who is in charge of the place is the best! Very friendly, welcoming and an excellent guide both in the area and during the full day safari we did in Kruger. At Lions Places you can also request, in addition to the value of your stay, a dinner, which is an unforgettable experience. A French and South African fusion dinner with a starter, main course and dessert, which, weather permitting, is served outdoors. In our case we did a full day safari (exceptional!) and a morning bush walk. Both instances were amazing! We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and many other mammals and birds that made the visit unforgettable. A special note to the ladies who run the place, they are very kind and excellent cooks! Totally recommended and we would stay there again.

We visited Tsala Treetop Lodge for our honeymoon and had a fabulous experience. We actually extended our stay an additional two nights because we loved the tranquility of the location. The treehouse rooms are beautifully furnished with a private pool and amazing views. The staff were incredible and we loved the food at both Tsala Treetop Lodge Restaurant and nearby Zinzi.

What a fantastic place to stay - comfortable accommodation, beautiful view, convenient location, and gracious hosts! The property manager, Esme, was very responsive and made the check-in process a breeze.

Very special place. Like many others in South Africa - specially in Garden Route - the staff was specially careful and nice. It was our honeymoon and they manage to guarantee everything, including a boat ride from Gansbaai. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the city of Hermanus is a very special destination to enjoy.

Everything! Beautiful view, lovely atmosphere and very clean and the most comfortable room ever. Food and service was also excellent. We are definately coming back!

When the weather allowed, we had breakfast outside. The beautiful gardens against the backdrop of the mountains made it even more special. The buffet left nothing to be desired. And the staff were very friendly -- when we left, we felt like famlily.

We can only recommend staying at this wonderful Lodge! Craig, Andrew and all the other staff were so friendly and kind- they made our stay a once in a lifetime experience! They made us a warm welcome, served us delicious food and drinks, and organized the best safari we ever had. Thank you so much for everything - we will never forget our stay!

I liked pretty much everything. The hosts are very friendly, the breakfast is amazing, the view is great, and it is just fun to explore the area. Sheryl and Allan, thank you for the lovely breakfast and the visit recommendations. I went to the small bookshop and bought a book and most importantly: one of those lovely honey jams. I was so happy about it and intended to take it back home with me. Unfortunately, at my next stop, the baboons stole my honey. It sounds funny, but I was indeed pissed off, hahaha. I look forward to coming back, and next time I'll buy 2X honeys, and no one is going to steal them.

Everything about St James was outstanding, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The welcome, the staff, the service, the suite, the views, the peace, could not have been better. We loved the complimentary boat trip.
