Breakfast was available for a reasonable charge. But we didn't eat there to avoid motionsickness while driving in the mountains. Room had a cute patio. Beautiful garden all around.. Took pictures.

We went to this hotel after arriving in San Jose on our first evening. It was perfect for what we needed, aka some rest after the long journey. The room was clean and quiet, and breakfast the next day was fresh and had quite some choices.

We liked Poas Volcano lodge. Nicely located closed to poas volcano. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful ans breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is located 7 minutes from the entrance to the nature reserve (Nacional Volcán Poás) so when we landed in San Jose we drove straight to it from the airport. The place is very quiet and the room was very nicely decorated! Unfortunately we stayed at this hotel only one night.
