Everything was great, taking into account that the country is at war. For example, the air alarm started at 1 a.m. and lasted until 7:14, but breakfast was served anyway. Honestly, at first I thought, “Okay, I’ll just go upstairs and maybe grab some coffee at least,” — but no, there was a perfect breakfast as every morning. I also had to attend the shelter — comfortable. The only thing I’d recommend is to be prepared that the room temperature is around 20 °C.

The fancy old-fashion designed room was clean, with a big shower cabin and a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly. Everything was actually so good that we spontaneously decided to stay for one more night. We enjoyed the room service.

This is a small family-run hotel, and the family running it lives there themselves during the war. The hotel is located on the ground floor, partly below the street level. That makes it safer during missile attacks. They are the nicest people I've ever met, and you'll feel as you're part of their family. They also run a coffee kiosk where you pay if you're able, otherwise all drinks are free. So expect just that: A family run hotel with all the quirks that comes with that. You will be lovingly taken care of, but don't expect five-star facilities. Also the rates are very modest.

The hotel was placed in the center of the city, the staff was very friendly, I felt like being at home. They really cared about my wellbeing. The room was nice, the bed comfy and especially the sheets and blankets were so lovely and high quality that it was a challenge to leave the bed in the morning. But the breakfast and beautiful Kyiv are worth getting up!
