From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with so much attention to detail that made our stay special. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, offering great tips for exploring the area. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, and we woke up each morning to breathtaking views of the mountains. It was the perfect base for discovering Hallstatt and the beautiful surroundings. We truly didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Hotel Garni Anzengruber is located near the centre of St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut, 100 metres from the famous Weißes Rössl and the beautiful pilgrimage church. Absolutely loved this place. Felt like home. :) We loved getting to know the owners and enjoyed a laid-back, nature filled vacation! Breakfast was amazing and the room was beautiful. Would love to return soon.

This individually designed countryside hotel offers 4-star comfort and features a private bathing place and a lakeside garden. There is also a sun terrace with a hot tub, a sauna and a relaxation room. What a great place to stay. This hotel is in the center of St. Wolfgang although I did have to ask a few people where exactly it was. This hotel is right on Lake Wolfgang. Breakfast was very good with Frau Stephanie handling the food service duties. Frau Patricia was often at the front desk and she was invaluable at giving ideas about things to do in the village. She is a gal that tells it like it is. Whatever she says, that's it. There were a couple of other ladies taking turns at the front desk that were also quite nice and helpful. Overall, the staff were excellent. The room was nice and modern. It's the kind of place where those little toiletries are in the bathroom, in case you misplaced something. I would certainly stay there again should I find myself in St. Wolfgang. ALSO want to mention that there is a great souvenir shop directly across the way from the hotel's front door (Name is Geschenke, address Markt 75). Good place to buy and bring back a few trinkets for the folks back home. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and well recommended.

You can dine in the on-site restaurant and sunbathe on the terrace which provides lake views. The location was brilliant. Away from crowd and near to nature.

Pension Bergfried is located in Hallstatt, 150 metres from the shore of Lake Hallstatt. It offers functionally furnished rooms, some with a balcony.

All rooms are equipped with a seating area and satellite TV. The rooms have a double bed with separate mattresses. I like the peacefulness. The location is a bit far from Markt, but it is close to the bus stop. The view was super! We booked the smallest room, and we got the one with a balcony, which is helpful for us as we were traveling with a child. I totally recommend this place.

Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is situated right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free centre and 150 metres from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. All rooms offer lake or mountain views. - Really good and rich breakfast at Heritage Restaurant next to the Hallstatt lake. - Big and with good design rooms. - Really friendly staff.

A 5-minute walk from the centre of Sankt Wolfgang, Strandhotel Margaretha offers a private beach on the shore of Lake Wolfgang, a lakeside terrace, a bar, a sauna, and a relaxation room. Free WiFi is available. ⸻ We stayed for a week in August, a family of four with two children. Overall, the hotel is excellent – it’s in a perfect location and has a very nice private beach (including SUP boards and rowboats available for guests). Breakfast was good and varied, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Parking is not always available on-site, but it’s not a big issue unless it’s raining heavily, as the hotel provides free parking just a two-minute walk away. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant once – the food was tasty but relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the area.

Heritage Hotel is located in the car-free historic centre of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hallstatt in Upper Austria's Salzkammergut region. It offers free wired internet access in the rooms and free WiFi in all areas. Room was great with a view of the lake. Stuff very helpfull. Very good restaurant, delicious food.
