My wife and I recently stayed at the Kempinski Hotel in Bansko, and while most of the experience was exceptional, there were a couple of things worth noting. First, the breakfast was outstanding—easily a 10/10. The egg station was a standout, with fresh and perfectly prepared dishes each morning. The variety and quality were excellent. We were served by Darko during dinner, and he was truly exceptional. His wine recommendations were spot-on, and he made our dining experience special. Props to him for his impeccable service. The reception was welcoming and efficient, and the pool area was fantastic—well-maintained and the perfect spot to relax. However, one thing that bothered us was the lack of enforcement of the restaurant’s dress code. While there is a policy in place, we noticed people dining in shorts, and worse, some were even blowing their noses at the tables, but everything else was exceptional.

This charming, family-run boutique hotel is located on a quiet side street in the heart of Bulgaria’s popular Bansko ski resort. Individually decorated rooms have cable TV and free Wi-Fi. Guests benefit from free shuttle services to the gondola ski lift during the winter ski season. Free private parking is possible off site. We stay in Momini Dvori all the time. Food is great, staff is nice and it's not very busy.

Featuring a terrace, this 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. The hotel has family rooms. The food (although I'm stating the obvious, since this is Bulgaria) was amazing. The staff was very friendly. And since we had to leave very early, they were so nice and left us breakfast in the fridge to go! And trust me, those sandwiches and water bottles went a long way during an 8 hour drive.
