Het Grandezza Hotel Luxury Palace werd geopend in april 2012 en bevindt zich aan de Koolmarkt in het centrum van Brno. The hotel is in a great location in Brno old town, facing the “vegetable market” square and with views up to the Cathedral. It is close to the major historical sites that are in easy walking distance, including the Castle and busier main square. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants and shops nearby. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were fortunate to have been offered a room upgrade to a suite, which was much appreciated. The room was large and airy, well equipped and tastefully furnished with good open views of the square. The breakfast buffet was extensive with plenty of cold and hot food selections available, including barista coffee to order. The staff were very also attentive. Overall, a very enjoyable stay that we would be happy to repeat.

Penzion Baltazar is gevestigd in de voormalige Joodse wijk en kijkt uit over het Mikulov-kasteel en het Zuid-Moravische landschap. Loved being in the heart of the Jewish quarter, a little off the main tourist streets, but steps away from all we wanted to see in Mikulov. Very pleasant small pension. Comfortable room. Great tub! Hosts were very flexible. We were the only guests the night we stayed, and they treated us very well. Delicious breakfast and very homey atmosphere.

EFi Palace Hotel ligt in Brno, op 2 km van Špilberk-kasteel, en biedt conciërgediensten, rookvrije kamers, een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en een restaurant. Locatie op loopafstand van het centrum en toch buiten de drukte van de stad. Veilig parkeren, naar keuze naast het hotel met een afgesloten hek of op het binnenhof. Heel goed ontbijtbuffet met zelfs vers te persen sap van wortel/biet/bleekselderij. Zeer behulpzame receptioniste Julia.

Het romantische hotel Royal Ricc ligt in de Starobrněnská-straat, één van de oudste straten midden in het historische centrum van Brno. In het hele hotel is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. The interior is superior. Paintings, statues, room design, atmosphere. The breakfast was varying and pretty good. Not exceptional, but it's a relatively small hotel, so one can't expect everything in the buffet :-) The location is very central, next door to a market square (markets on Saturdays) and a shopping mall with a cinema.

Het 3-sterren Boutique Hotel Templ ligt in het hart van Mikulov, dicht bij de Oostenrijkse grens. Heel leuk dat we fietsen konden huren en na een mooie (en hete) fietstocht daarna verkoeling konden vinden in het kleine, maar fijne zwembad. Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam, leuk ook om een glaasje wijn bij aankomst te krijgen.
